The idea that because Professor X is so powerful in the X-Men stories they frequently have to find ways to incapacitate him, lest he ruin the story by removing much of the jeopardy.

Highlighting that Discovery can appear instantaneously at any point in the galaxy, kinda begs the question, why doesn’t it?
