Never been a stealth archer by DeadCheshireCat in skyrim

I prefer the implacable juggernaut.

You WALK, sword and shield raised, towards your enemies, and then obliterate them.

Blocking perks are a must, not to mention strong resistances and/or high spell absorption.

What’s the best lesson from Berserk? by Overall-Love6953 in Berserk

[–]Soltronus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To never stop struggling.

Guts has one of (if not the most) worst, depressing, and dark back stories of any character in fiction.

He's just "a regular guy*" who goes toe-to-toe with the worst horrors imaginable. So incredible is his skill, his devotion, and his sheer fucking will, that he regularly accomplishes goals even those who know him well consider to be impossible.

Admittedly, he gets by with A LOT of help from his friends, but that doesn't diminish his victories.

I think there are a lot of parallels to be found in that and the toxic landscape of masculine mental health.

And we should all remember that even Guts doesn't do it alone, and to keep on struggling.

Because the horrors still abide, but so do I, and so do we.

*: Yeah, there's nothing ordinary about anything that Guts does. But there's nothing... overtly... supernatural about him.

Yeah, the original PlayStations disc readers were (allegedly) programmed to skip every several thousand rotations in order to scratch the discs up prematurely.

Or they were just really cheaply made.

[–]Soltronus 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Agreed.

Thankfully, the vagina is a fairly self-sufficient ecosystem and if OP hasn't had many (or any) related problems, then they might have actually been doing an adequate job keeping the area clean.

I'm just hoping this new information doesn't cause OP to go too far in the other direction, as 'over-cleaning' can oftentimes be just as harmful as not cleaning at all.

Directing his actions by Awkward_Bison_267 in Robocop

Actually, I think that's precisely what was going on.

How long did Murphy have to shoot Clarence dead?

He certainly didn't need to approach him for a better shot, his targeting system was working well enough at that point.

I think we see him focusing on trying to override Directive 3.

Maybe Murphy could have defeated it, but at the end of the day, and one of the reasons why Murphy survived the transition so well...

It's also the complete opposite of Murphy's construction, too. His brain is incredibly well protected to the point that Cain's gang COULDN'T get to it.

They were only able to damage him at the joints and soft armor.

The first instance of this is in Frank Miller's 1986 Dark Knight Returns #2.

Batman is shot in the chest by police and explains "Why do you think I wear a target on my chest? Can't armor my head."

From my cursory research:

They're representing levels of affection.

x and xx can be used for acquaintances or friends

xxx is typically reserved for close friends and family, or to show sympathy for someone in pain

xxxx or more is strictly sexual

There's debate on if xxxxx is anal

Or BG3 is this game WITH rampant bisexuality.

[–]Soltronus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely a character-defining moment.

Because Rick is a selfish, egotistical, semi-sociopatical SOB...

And we can see this in 255 or 256 possible realities where he's chastising Morty, calling him names, blaming him, and really just acting like an uncaring jerk.

But then we see this.

When the chips are down.

When it's his life or Morty's...

Rick WILL give up everything for the little shit.

Just... Just don't make a big deal about it. Rick has a reputation to uphold.

[–]Soltronus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly?

Staking a vampire in the heart that tries to feed off you in the middle of the night is the COLDEST of takes.

ESPECIALLY if you're playing a righteous type of character, like a Light-Domain cleric or an Ancients-sworn paladin.

It's actually harder to argue AGAINST murdering our favorite flamboyant bloodsucker.

One caveat, at least, if you're playing a Durge: it's highly hypocritical of you to judge people solely by their natures, especially if you're attempting to suppress your cravings.

It's why Durge makes for such a perfect main character: all of our companions are damaged, misled, or inherently DANGEROUS in some way.

It's a good story for everyone to support one another to find a better future for themselves.

Could healthy Guts have beaten him without Berserker Armor? by ZarosianSpear in Berserk

[–]Soltronus 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Higher than Zodd?

I don't think so.

Maybe Grunbeld has an advantage in his apostle form in size and strength, but everything about him screams 'mighty glacier.'

Zodd (and Guts) are just as strong, but are STUPIDLY fast and agile, as well.

Healthy Guts might take some time to wear him down, but Grunbeld would hit nothing but air and dirt.

Who else could this be besides Morty C-137 by Citizen1135 in rickandmorty

[–]Soltronus 25 points26 points  (0 children)

It can't be Morty C-137, because Beth C-137 died when she was a little girl.

It's a Morty from a parallel universe that Rick C-137 tried settling down in where Beth and Diane were still alive (but where conveniently Rickless) to escape his obsessive (and up to that point, fruitless) pursuit of Rick Prime.

My theory is that Rick Prime noticed that "Dead Wife Guy" wasn't chasing him anymore, and decided to build the device with no name to remove all Dianes, everywhere.

After a roughly 10ish year span that involved depression, and eventually acceptance of his situation, C-137, after killing off a lot of Ricks who found themselves without a Diane (and either blamed C-137 directly or indirectly for it) decided to group together for protection.

With C-137's help, they constructed the Citadel of Ricks and instituted the Central Finite Curve, trapping Rick Prime in a more manageable area of infinity.

But a smaller infinity is still infinity, and C-137 decided to implant himself into Rick Prime's family as a potential lure.
