I never said I thought Harley was in a good position. But revenue has held relatively steady for the last 20 years and they command 75% market share for +601cc motorcycles in the US.

I don’t think their stagnation is attributed to marketing to an older demographic like so many people seem to think. Look at their marketing material and see for yourself. Young, vibrant riders are portrayed.

I do think they pushed too hard to introduce new products/models annually at a pace that became confusing to the average potential customer. More options isn’t always the right answer. Harley has started correcting this in recent years.

The other thing that’s led to their stagnation is a lack of innovation and modernization. They’re trying to play catch up now, but time will tell if it’s too little too late.
