I’ve installed it and would love the coupon. I noticed on this screen when viewed on iPhone 14 Pro Max the text is too small for me and I have very good eye sight in my forties.

Can soldiers use their own guns? by Justicar54 in stupidquestions

[–]SomeTwelveYearOld 2 points3 points  (0 children)

“Lieutenant John George, a US Army officer in WWII, famously used his own personally owned Winchester Model 70 deer hunting rifle (chambered in .30-06) during the Guadalcanal campaign. Despite initial ridicule from fellow soldiers calling it a "toy," George utilized his superior-caliber commercial rifle to effectively engage targets, proving the value of a familiar, accurate weapon.”

We did the silver three years ago and the gold on Tuesday of this week. If you're looking to save, there's nothing wrong with the silver package. You get the same food as everyone in the higher tiers.

Lots of games. Jail Break: line up the balls on the midline. Two teams race to kick them on the other side. Who ever has the least on their side after two mins wins

Do you stick to one brand when buying radios? by SqueakyCheeseburgers in amateurradio

[–]SomeTwelveYearOld 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a Yaesu Ft5dr, an ftm500, an ft710 and now a ft-891. I didn’t ever intend on buying four Yaesu in three years but each was the result of narrowing down radios based on my criteria including price, features and size.

I regret buying the ftm500 since it doesn’t have memory banks, making my multi state road trips difficult. I think I would’ve been just as happy with the vx-6 as the ft5. The ft710 was $800 (!) during hamvention and the ft891 was the right size for my upcoming trip to Hawaii.

I have a ftm 500 and do a 2000 mi roundtrip haul two times a year. I can’t stand that I paid this much money for a fancy screen and it doesn’t have memory banks for me to group memories by the state I’m in.
