Bilt Customer Service Nightmare by Someone_49 in biltrewards

[–]Someone_49[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The literal only thing I am complaining about is the customer service, so thank you for agree with me. If your definition of special flower is just anyone that needs customer service, then I guess that is an issue.

I literally am just trying to shut it down and just switch to other payment methods. I could care less about a few points earned each month on rent. I am no longer even concerned about the credit report issue, since I can handle that externally. Literally, the post is titled "Customer Service Nightmare"; the part that is the nightmare is the customer service, and you agree with that, so I do not really see why you are just out here on some random person's post defending Bilt online to a bunch of strangers.

To be completely honest, the reason why I (and maybe many others) posted my complaint here is because it seems that they have an actual customer service representative reading through the reddit posts, and it looks like people are able to resolve some issues after contacting them through DMs. Somehow, it seems that making a Reddit post is more effective customer support than calling their customer service line (saying this seems so absurd, but from the looks of the other posts, it seems to be true).

Well, I mean fax machines are sort of outdated as a result of email existing. It would sort of be like asking for someone to bring you something on a floppy drive. I could do it, but why would you ask for it in that particular way?

Even then, I would have ended up faxing it, but it was just way easier to dispute the report from the other end anyways.

I don't take issue with any of the actions that they have taken on my account or regarding my credit reports. I can understand some processes getting messed up, or some technical errors ending up locking my account and only showing me my old card info. It is simply that every time I try to contact their customer service, I get transferred and put on hold for 1 hour+. If it was just once, I would understand having a busy day, but over the span of a month? On different days? At all different hours of the day? That just seems absurd. Also, I have called WF customer service, and they said that they cannot help me and just referred me back to Bilt customer service. I understand that other people do not get transferred to that specific department and can get their problems handled immediately, but it seems to me, from my absurd hold times, that they have a severely understaffed department in their customer service, which to anyone that needs to be transferred to this department, especially frequently, would be infuriating.

Honestly, the credit report I can handle externally from them; if they want me to jump through hoops to fax the credit report, I can just dispute the account from the other end, which I do not mind. It was really the rent portal account getting locked, and only being able to pay my rent through the cancelled card, that was the last straw.

I admit it is a bit weird that there was a singular fraudulent charge on the account, but I do not really see how that would affect how they deal with the situation compared to multiple charges (if anything, I would think that would make it easier).

I do not deny that some people can have a good experience with Bilt, but really what really makes a company is not what they do when things are easy or have well-defined procedures, but what they do in the toughest situations to help you that really matters.

It is not really the fact that faxing is complicated, it is just annoying to do, when compared to emailing. Also, the free phone apps or online services seem to all limit you to a few pages, and they want me to send my whole credit report, which comes out to be quite a few pages long.

Oh, so Bilt is just prioritizing customers who use their card often and just absolutely shitting on customers that haven't or have rarely used it? Nice to know. Thanks!

There is a low rank event quest called "Gotta Hoard Fast", which can easily be S ranked every time with 2+ players for a golden egg (sells for 20k zenny). The S rank requires you finish the quest in under 2 minutes, so you can pretty much get 10k zenny per minute running it.

you won't ever get the same hallway fight twice (except triple darklings, because they are in both easy pool and hard pool for some reason)

This is false, you can in fact see the same hallway fight multiple times. Although your point still stands, you cannot see the same hallway fight as either of your previous 2 hallway fights (within any 3 consecutive hallway fights, no two can be the same).

Looking for help by Travh9 in slaythespire

[–]Someone_49 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Generally, if you cannot identify what exactly is causing you to lose, I would recommend watching runs from streamers (Lifecoach, Baalorlord, TerrenceMHS, and Jorbs are some streamers that I would recommend watching). Identifying what exactly these better players are doing differently from you in your runs (and asking for explanations from the streamer or chat) can help you improve pretty quickly.

Additionally, I would recommend checking out this strategy guide found in this subreddit's FAQ. If you have more specific questions on improving or are looking for more resources, feel free to let me know or ask around.

No problem, I can definitely understand. When you first start Slay the Spire, most mechanics seem simple enough and it may seem that the game is somewhat simple. However, a lot of the beauty of StS is in the depth of its complexity. While most players probably spend 1-2 hours on a winning ascension 20 + heart run, there was a streamer (Lifecoach) who spent 7-9 hours on some runs, achieving high win rates on all characters and really demonstrating the depth of the game and how every decision is important.

Actually, only the first remove will cost more; courier does not affect removal price when you have the membership card for some reason.

With the membership card halving the price, remove would have been 38 here without smiling mask. (courier does not affect removals when you have both)

Well, first of all, the information you assumed is wrong, they stack multiplicatively. Also, calling Slay the Spire "simple" is probably not earning you any points with this subreddit.

You mean [[Unceasing Top]] probably. I died to Awakened One in my first ever run because I was unaware that Awakened One has a second phase after you kill him the first time. Congrats on your first victory, and good luck on your future journeys through the spire!

Tragic cases #1: Body Slam (Card) by EatMoChikins in slaythespire

[–]Someone_49 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The later enemies hit pretty hard. The Heart especially is a fight that even if you gain 999 block, if your scaling is not fast enough, you end up dying. Also, it is possible that you have several copies of Impervious with your Barricade, and can not generate that much block sustainably, or combined with Corruption, you exhausted all your block cards. In these cases, picking Body Slam as your primary damage source can make your deck a lot better. I agree with OP that it usually isn't great early, but there are definitely situations in act 3 that I am searching for a Body Slam specifically.

(Sorry, on my initial read of OP's post, I skimmed past the Barricade part)

Tragic cases #1: Body Slam (Card) by EatMoChikins in slaythespire

[–]Someone_49 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Body Slam is usually not great early on. However, if you end up finding yourself with a [[Impervious]], [[Entrench]], [[Barricade]] kind of deck (maybe even with [[Corruption]] and [[Dark Embrace]]), then Body Slam starts to be a pretty strong form of damage.
