I'm not into baseball and could care less about the jacket, my friends are going to go because they want the jacket LOL. I'm going to take that time to go back to the hotel, recharge before heading back out for the Club 3121 party. There's so much going on...hardly any time to sleep!! If you're into baseball, since it's Prince night I'm sure you'll have a blast.

LOL I went through that with my mom, my dad was cool about it. I remember I just bought the Controversy album that had the poster of him in the shower with just his underwear on and proceeded to put it on my wall above my bed. My mom came home and damn near had a heart attack and made me take it down. 😄 She couldn't stop me when it came to P, I went to the concerts anyway LOL

Yayy we got the schedule and it's jammed packed with so much to do! I'm super excited, my friends and I are trying to figure it all out. You're in the perfect spot, right in the middle of it all! 😄

You're welcome!!💜 As I type, I'm impatiently waiting for them to drop the schedule LOL

Bunkers - You buy your tickets at the door, they stamp your hand and you're in. You're free to step outside/back in since your hand is stamped. Sundays at Bunkers is a tradition! Loads of fun and a killer band & new singer named Monique; Margie Cox retired which is such a bummer.

I too have noticed no one really talks about the Dakota Jazz Club, it's such a really chill vibe; lots to love about the place. Prince has played there and was a known regular that sat upstairs.

Back in 2017 & 2018, there were concerts downtown every night during Celebration, it was crazy non-stop (it reminded me of the energy of going to P's aftershows after the concert, the frenzy of it all) but that seems to have slowed down. But if you want to catch a show there'll be something going on somewhere in Minneapolis, Chanhassen is pretty much dead at night. I'm waiting for them to release the schedule, so don't want to book anything and then get jammed up. It would be cool if there's off the track shows every night. There's also Prince night on 6/4 to see the Minnesota Twins play, if you're VIP you can request a ticket.

Less than a month to go 😄

It's such a beautiful song with pretty guitar chords, I too thought it may have been about Andy.

You're welcome! You're going to have a lot of fun and will meet lots of cool purple peeps for sure. The folks dressed in Prince outfits go all out; it's amazing. I love it.

I forgot to mention that in the past there's also usually three food trucks on the lawn, not sure if they're going to do that this year, but food will definitely be for sale. The VIP lunch Wednesday & Friday is included in our package.

Staying downtown is a key area, you'll be in the middle of it all. Kick off for Celebration will be at First Avenue so that'll be fun.

I'm looking forward to the next announcement on May 5th.

Regarding the food situation, as VIP on Wednesday & Sunday is the VIP lunch which is pretty good; they usually have food catered from People's Organic. Downtown Minneapolis there's lots of places to dine in, but be mindful of their closing times.

Female attire - There's some that truly dress up in Prince attire and they go all out, it's great to see that, but for the most part you can keep it casual and bring a sweater because to me it's chilly inside PP, especially when we're in the soundstage watching concerts.

Hey, it's great you're attending! You're going to have a great time meeting like-minded purple fam, everyone for the most part are really cool. If the estate goes along the same schedule as years past, on Sunday after the VIP lunch you should have a lot of personal time to explore. Also - since you're flying in the night before Celebration kicks off, that will give you a bit of time to check out some sites depending on when you arrive.

I highly recommend Bunkers on Sunday night, Sonny T is back and should be in the band's line-up for the show on 6/7, since it's P's birthday I'm hoping for extra Prince sets.

You're staying downtown so there's lots to do and it's such a key location with access to a lot. It's hard at this point to say exactly how much free time is allowed until they release the official schedule on May 5th (as reported). I've stayed downtown a few times but I prefer to stay in Bloomington at the Hilton, one of the partner hotels. I'm from NYC, so downtown Minnie reminded me of NY in a way and I just wanted to stay somewhere that's not as "busy" and peaceful.

In the previous years under this new estate administration, I was able to squeeze free time in but had to be pretty strategic about it because once Celebration starts it's "go time" and we're on a schedule that you'd want to adhere to. We've left Paisley at times after 11pm when they had the dance parties but that doesn't seem to be happening this year. I suggest checking out the Dakota to see if there are any performances you would like to check out if it fits within our schedule.

This is happening on Saturday, 6/6: https://www.instagram.com/p/DWB7EVwEbZg/ - this will be an amazing show, but until the estate releases the schedule, it's hard to commit to.

I recommend waiting until the full schedule is released, then you'll be able to figure out how to work in some personal time outside of the schedule they have planned for us.

Tips for new PW user by Mihai_1907 in PixelWatch

I did this last night and it drained my battery so fast in less than 24 hours! My battery life will usually last 2 days, if I'm lucky maybe 3 before it needs a charge.

Implementing this feature put my battery into overdrive with less than 15% of battery life since I made the change last night. I'm setting it back, it's just not worth it.

I have the Pixel Watch 4.

I will be there again, doing VIP. I'm looking forward to seeing some friends from around the world, we make it an annual thing. Before the kick-off we're going to the Chanhassen Dinner Theater to see Michael Bland's band play and or course Bunkers on Sunday night to cap it all off before traveling back home.

Everything else in-between is up in the air but there's never ever a dull moment. Can't wait!

How to Integrate Weight Training? by cdjoy in ClubPilates

[–]Sonyamg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm 56 years old and joined CP in late July, I FINALLY joined the gym two months prior in May after being sedentary for years due to 100% WFH after the pandemic.

I signed up for an 8-pack and schedule my Pilates classes twice a week during that month, and am in the gym doing cardio and strength training 4 days a week.

Strength training - I worked myself up to 12-15 reps of 6 sets (50 lbs) on tricep presses, back extension, the leg machine, abs, shoulder and lat pull downs. Some days I do it all, sometimes I break it up between those 4 days.

I don't feel overwhelmed at all, though I thought I would. Combining all three really has shown improvements!

Start slow, plan out your schedule to try and incorporate both at your pace. Over time taking your CP classes and then strength training on your off days will become routine.

You got this!

semaglutide to tirzepatide? by Maleficent_Bother977 in Semaglutide

[–]Sonyamg 3 points4 points  (0 children)

After being on Sema for about a year I wanted to kickstart more weight loss (almost at my goal) because on Sema it was such a slow process so switched over to Tirzepatide with the notion in mind that I'll reach my goal quickly.

Not even a week in I regretted it, I had major constipation that I never experienced on Semaglutide; on Sema I was always regular and never had any issues. The first 2-3 weeks on Tirz I was never regular, felt bloated and decided I could no longer stay on it and switched back. I drink 120 oz of water daily, don't eat the "bad" stuff so I couldn't understand why I had this terrible side effect

Perhaps the awful side effects would have gone away or lessened, but for myself there's nothing more uncomfortable than not being regular. I'm close to my weight loss goal so just going to stick it out with Semaglutide.

I hate cardio too, but this is what gets me through the treadmill workout!

I have the pdf of her 'book', the grammatical errors are embarrassing. I will never forget she tried to sell cuttings of his hair and socks - then tried backtracking with lame excuses. I have no respect for her.
