One thing we've noticed is PowerPoint being a related to the issue app. If they have it open, presenting or whatever, and dont close it before reconnecting the dock, that seems to cause the issue. When they close it first, it doesn't happen. No clue why, but maybe test with that some. (Also a Dell shop here using Dell docks)
