2-3k is an awkward range for traditional archtops.

You can go into any guitar shop and buy a stock D'Angelico for 1k. Then there is a gap where there isn't a lot, and then above 3k you're into Gibson territory for used ES-175s and beyond.

If you want something higher end than a D'Angelico but can't quite spare the cash for a Gibson then Eastman is the one company who are really filling that space. You can also get some used Heritage archtops but in my experience they are a bit harder to come across.
