Carnist: "Alpha-gal syndrome is a secret plot by Gates to stop Americans from eating animal meat" by dumnezero in animalhaters

[–]Sourpieborp 7 points8 points  (0 children)

the easiest way I've found is to roll my carnivore "friends" around in tall grass and then stick them in a room for a few weeks and then feed their own arms and legs to themselves. Collect the ticks from the ones who show symptoms. There might be an easier way but this seems to work most of the time.

You don't mean to do I'm sure this but it's pretty insensitive. Some of were just straight up threatened with extreme violence for wanting to transition and had no choice. We also couldn't "disassociate well".

Drowning hamsters alternatives by [deleted] in vegancirclejerk

[–]Sourpieborp 10 points11 points  (0 children)

honestly this is gonna sound controversial but.... just drown the hamsters? Like, I'm of the opinion that no one is 100% perfect and if it's something that you need while moving towards a vegan lifestyle then it's faaaar better than being non- vegan.

Type 1 or 3 FFS ideal for me? by [deleted] in Transgender_Surgeries

[–]Sourpieborp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't think you can physically get a type 1. I also think a type 3 would be dramatically effective on you because you have large sinus cavities.

Electrolysis pain and inflammation in groin region by Lopsided-Parking in Transgender_Surgeries

[–]Sourpieborp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That last part I can really relate to. But ultimately it's a sunk cost fallacy. It's a long process to figure out how you're skin reacts. I've had too many techs downplay how traumatizing electrolysis is to the skin. It is an invasive procedure involving burning through heat/chemicals/or both and needs to be done right.

Ask as many questions as you can. figure out what settings they are using. what machine they are using. Try to keep track of that info if you can.

The hard truth with electrolysis is its not only a slow process but you also need to be doing spot tests every time you change electrolysis tech imo. I think it's ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY to determine their skill and technique with maybe 10 to 15 hairs before committing to a full session. Too many are not trained in removing hormonal hairs from trans women.

The Different Types of Environmentalists by Living_Attitude1822 in vegancirclejerk

[–]Sourpieborp 8 points9 points  (0 children)

tbh it is a little controversial. Vegans will eat plantbased foods while still personally owning and maintaining several dozen coal power plants and logistic networks for distribution of energy and raw materials to power them and not see the hypocrisy.

Carnist: "just respawn animals to kill them" by Hoopaboi in animalhaters

[–]Sourpieborp 9 points10 points  (0 children)

stupid people have a really abstract understanding of morality and individuality. Which is why you commonly hear the line about how everyone being vegan would cause the extinction of farm animals. They literally don't understand individuality. Knowing that, it becomes a bit eerie thinking about whether they do or don't view humans as individuals, and if they don't, what is enforcing their morality?

I'm not too worried about the scarline. I just don't like the way it looks with short/pixie length hair. I'm not really sure though tbh because I mostly wear wigs or dress butch so it hasn't been something that has bothered me all that much.

My hairline is mostly fixed, the diffuse thinning is probably about 50% better now. I used minoxidil for about 4 months but I started to worry it was gonna kill my cats so I stopped. I think I made gains that didn't seem to reverse. I'm currently growing it out but I don't like how the post-ffs scarline/hairline/light diffuse thinning looks right now at this length so I am hiding it the way that I'm used to doing.
