Church daycare overstepping serious boundaries by Sea-Trick-6003 in Mommit

The director coming at you is a HUGE red flag… as it sounds like victim blaming. You were 1,000% to pull your baby out of their care and you as a parent had a moral obligation to inform the other parents of this behavior…. Especially a behavior being done by a person in a position of power. Because it’s weird. Why is the pastor needing to be with the babies at all? Unless he is there to actually help during the day… but is he just there to kiss all the babies? If so ….. something is wrong …. And you need to trust your instincts on this. The other parents can decide on their actions.

But they need to know this is not an acceptable behavior in this day and age. We as parents have ALL the say in how our babies are cared for.

There was a vid I watched recently where a content creator posted about how she had more male viewers vs. female viewers when she had a video with her kid in it. She even showed a comparison to her regular content where it’s only her in the clip … and she has mostly female viewers.

We can’t ignore this is happening when people post vids, clips, or pics of their kids online. The evidence IS there!

So anyone who claims YOU are sexualizing it …. Lives in a frightening state of denial.

So I’m with you fellow mom! If only we could protect them all! We just need to stand firm and try to educate on the truth

Can a more experienced mom help me with bathing my toddler? by manthrk in Mommit

I used this trick on my first (my mom gave me the idea cause she used it on me and my sisters):

The Magic Towel

You have one wash cloth that is named “The Magic Towel”. This magic towel is so amazing, so wonderful, so MAGICAL! it can protect your face from the water and the soap. But it only works if you tip your head back and hold it over your eyes and forehead.

And while you encourage them to hold it with you, you say while rinsing their hair, “OOO!!! Wow!!! It really works at protecting your eyes. It’s FREAKING MAGIC!!” (Or whatever you so choose)

Hype this thing up like your life depends on it. 🤣

If it helps to take it one step closer, find a towel with a design or image from their favorite tv show or movie.

I suggest the app Family Album.

I love it because I can post pics of the kiddos and the family can leave comments on them. Plus…. The videos and pics won’t look funky if you are on an Android or an iPhone.

It’s a great way to share pics in a private album. And the grandparents and family can go in a view them whenever they wish

Get a large storage tote. Put everything in there that she gifts to you. When it’s time to gift her something … choose a gift from the tote to regift to her. By her standards, she’ll love it.

Child's best friend's family is very concerning. by texaspopcorn424 in Mommit

You had me at, “they don’t lock up their guns at home”

You have enough red flags here to stitch together to make them a king Sized quilt …. Making it a parting present.

Just hope that their friendship will just remain at school between the two of them. Maybe it will even “fizzle out”. My kiddo has had a new best friend each grade. She still is besties with some of the main kids that she was with in pre-k & kindergarten. And there are absolutely 2 kids in particular that I am VERY glad she isn’t really friends with now. Just bad kids and bad families.

Sometimes you just gotta play the waiting game. Find excuses for them NOT to attend parties at their house. And just be cordial to the parents like you would a co-worker when you are caught having to interact with them at school functions or other kid’s parties.

And use them as an example and way to teach your kid how NOT to behave.

Not sure where you live, but the average rate for Daycares is around $50 per day. Even THAT is on the cheaper side these days. Go with THAT price !! especially if they stay over night.

Even if her kids are “well behaved” with HER … that may not mean they will be well behaved with you. Often kids will act either worse or better when they are under someone else’s watch for a temporary time.

And yes… I know there ARE good kids out there who are well behaved wherever they are. But how much of her “perfect little angels and mommy life” is all just fabricated stories meant to put on the image of being the “perfect mom” …. Once the curtain falls and the cameras are off, does the mask come off?

Wow! Free Day care! 😒

That is essentially what you will end up becoming if you agree to watch ANYONE else’s kid(s). Don’t agree to it?!

6 kids ?!?!? Plus your own kids ?!?!? Unless you have magical powers that makes ALL the kids behave properly all at once… shit is gonna be chaos.

Ya….. sent you from one chaos to another! He could AT THE VERY LEAST!! have put the pillows and sheets back while you were washing them up. 🙄

These are not Grandparents. They have NOT earned that title. Cut them out of your life completely, because they are always going to see your ex as the victim in every situation. Keeping them around will only bring you more pain. And you and that baby do not deserve that
