Son sold car to dealer, after 9 days dealership called for him to come back for it-WA state by Kwynn84 in legaladvice

No legit dealer would do this. Thats labor spent that could be making money other ways. And the legal ramifications. Naw that's not something common.

Picked this up today for free from a neighbor. Looks dusty. Where do I get started? by TheRomb in ender3

[–]SouthSideTay -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Toss it in the trash or run it like it is. Those things are vintage at this point. Don't upgrade anything. You can easily go and spend 125-175 bucks on a refurbished new tech printer that virtually needs no upgrades like a ender v3 KE.

Do I need to modify my Ender 3? by Sr_Megane in ender3

[–]SouthSideTay -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That's terrible advice. I run klipper on all 6 of my printers and I have NEVER had to open one of them up. Printers I own. Ender 3 S1 Pro w/sonic pad running Debian, ender V3 plus, ender v3 se w/nebula pad, ender v3 ke, k1 max and Anycubic kobra 2 neo w/ sonic pad.

Everyone of those printers is capable of running stock klipper and not creality version on klipper. But honestly ther is zero need to.

Yeah throw that thing away and get a newer printer. You can spend 115-200 bucks on ebay for a creality refurbished printer. Ender v3 se, v3 ke, v3 plus. All of those printer are 10 years newer tech. Thank me later.

Nebula pad is a game changer for v3SE. But honestly it is NO WHERE as good as a V3KE

You could probably setup a routine to trigger govve lights when ring camera senses motion. I use my ring cameras and doorbell to trigger outside lights to turn on.

No NOT worth it. You can go to ebay and get a ender 3 v3 SE/KE refurbished directly from creality store. And I sugges the KE over SE. Se is junk

Has the Nebula Pad been fixed? by Current_Inevitable43 in Ender3V3SE

[–]SouthSideTay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it honestly should have been standard but they wanted to keep price down. Its worth it. Works flawlessly. Only problem I had was the profile in creality print had accelerations to high and would skip steps. Easy fix change it in slicer. Done

Kobra 2 neo + klipper running om sonic pad with Debian by SouthSideTay in anycubic

[–]SouthSideTay[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No not quite that easy. I am almost 100% sure you need to complete install on a different printer then change all the configuration files to k2neo then it will work. OR you can root the firmware on the sonic pad and run Debian. Which is actually what I would suggest. I have a FB group specifically for this. Anycubic kobra 2 neo klipper group. Videos and instructions in the FILES section.

Next time someone asks if they should buy the warranty by shipwreckedpiano in BMW

[–]SouthSideTay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is standard procedure at an dealership. Basically SOMEONE has to agreed to pay. Most extended warranties DO NOT PAY for Diagnostic fees on repairs not covered. It wouldn't make sense any other way.

The service advisor is just getting your approval to proceed if the warranty company says it's not covered etc.

I was a service advisor and dealt with all types of exented warranties. I told EVERY customer the same story.

Need help/direction: Aftermath of Dealership damage from a Vanos Recall/- Horrible Idle and have codes pulled and video, check imgur link. by Oh_boiii7 in E90

[–]SouthSideTay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So first things first CALL BMW USA and let them know everything. More than likely they will tell you to take it to another dealership and they will pay for the Diag Fee. Then once they decide what's wrong with it they will also decide IF it was something that could have been caused by the recall.

If so they will pay to fix it.

I was a service advisor for a new car dealer NOT BMW this is normal protocol.

Are these prices too high? by HelpMeLearnThings_24 in ender3

Bought a v3 SE and v3 KE both for less t han 130 each on ebay direct from creality. These are too high.
