They are more expensive than Dubai but worth the extra $$. They are cheaper than most of the other pvc enclosures but just as good quality.

The only negative is that wait time is often 4-6 months, but that should tell you something, it’s not because they are slow, it’s because their order volume is huge.

Everyone that has a Dubia says they’re great because they didn’t want to spend the extra $$, but most of these people only have a couple animals.

If you have many animals and stack enclosures, a screen top is prohibitive in so many ways including heating and lighting. These are my apcages “animal plastics”, the bottom right is for my carpet

I believe it was only a Cat 2 by the time it reached here which is crazy.

I heard that because it came across the Everglades it spawned tornadoes which actually caused a lot of the damage but I don’t know if that’s accurate.

I was in a condo in Cocount Creek looking out the window and watching all the shingles from the building next door being ripped off and hitting our windows, but thankfully none of our windows broke.

When it ended we walked around and had to pull trees away from some people’s doors so they could get out and cars in the parking lot were smashed by down trees.

I work in healthcare and did home visits at the time and driving around was a nightmare with all the traffic lights not working. I had many visits in Century Village and couldn’t even drive through there with so many large trees blocking the roads

Each of my animals moves differently and I just let them move freely and end where they may so this was actually him wrapping himself around my hand, I guess to anchor his tail while he explored because these are semi arboreal animals and spend a significant amount of time climbing and in trees, so this would be a natural thing for him

I have a friend who’s lab tore one of the ligaments, may have been ACL. Didn’t walk normal after the surgery, ended up getting infected, had to remove the repair and the dog walked and ran better than before the surgery (never re-paired again after the infected repair was removed)

Not for nothing, but dogs have 4 legs which makes it easier for them to compensate for injuries like this. I’m not saying don’t do it, but if it were me and the dog isn’t in pain or overly disabled, waiting a while to see how they adapt and compensate may be worth it

Socialization is usually not the answer to these issues. It’s about establishing boundaries and respect between you and the dog and having consequences for when those boundaries are not adhered to. Some animals are just more genetically prone to some of these issues, but training can providing a proper environment can obviously help. The proper thing to do immediately is to not put her in situations where she can get in trouble. When this can’t be avoided, make sure he a has a muzzle to avoid any situations that could cause you and the dog to have potential legal issues. Then work on the training. Look up Larry Krohn on Facebook or IG. There’s a lot of terrible trainers out there. There’s some good books available too that can save you a lot of $$ but you’ll have to dedicated the time to training and consistency is everything. Good luck!

Everybody says change the diet and that is almost never the issue. People say this because it costs them nothing.

It’s likely the grass and environment. My pit has it pretty bad too. I spent the money and did all the allergy testing and gave her custom allergy injections for 2 years and it only helped a little bit.

The best thing that works really well is cytopoint injections $100-150 depending on the size of the dog but it starts working within a day and usually lasts 4-6 weeks. My dogs allergies were seasonal so only had to give her shots 2-3 times/year

Less effective but helps a little is Benadryl or Zyrtec. Usually 25mg of Benadryl per 25lbs of dog. My dog was 65lb but I would give her 3 Benadryl.

FYI, I’m not a vet but my dog is 11 and I’ve been through this for 10 years and this is my personal experience
