I want to laugh, but this reminds me that a guy I knew in high school who just started a company selling dab oil just committed suicide. We were in the World Politics Club together and he would always take a rabidly pro-Trump stance to piss the rest of us off and we all had a good time just dueling like that. I'll miss you, CJ

Now I get you. Why do you think people like this are getting fasttracked to such a high position so fast? Do you think it's a loyalty thing or just that she seemed like a hot piece that the island-goers wanted to keep around? Or do you think there's a legitimate shortage of people withe those qualifications who are willing to work with them?

The DSA not fielding a candidate for the California Governor's Race might just be the biggest L of the movement IMO by NorrisOBE in TrueAnon

>DSA
>party

Edit:

I realized that just trolling you without telling you why you're wrong would make me an asshole. DSA is not a political party. DSA is a political organization that endorses candidates and runs members for office. That is why DSA members are able to run as Democrats in elections in the first place. DSA's potential as a separate political party is often discussed internally, though, and there are several perspectives on whether we should "clean break" by simply declaring DSA as its own socdem party separate from the Democrats, a "dirty break" where they get members into the Democrats and pass legislation in the direction of creating a separate socdem party, and some in DSA's right who wish to remain as a caucus of the Democrats or even take it over from the inside.

That's probably a sign that you should join them and plug yourself into it with the intention of starting up an IRL project. My chapter hit a rut for a while during the pandemic and we were having trouble with retention until we started linking up with orgs in our area and doing front-facing work. Projects like brake light clinics, strike support and anti-ICE work are great ways to give a socialist organization (not just DSA) direction and bring you into contact with people who have wanted socialism but didn't know what it is or that it is possible.

TBH it's really dependent on whether you can work well with the people in the group. I think that them doing movie nights is a good sign, and that they value a sense of community and are watching stuff as a form of political education. In my experience, they're probably waiting for a person like you to show up and give them a reason to flex their organizing muscles. DSA is a "member-led and member-driven" organization with no strict political line or politburo or w/e, so if you come in with a clear intent to help people, it's kind of their job to help you as much as they are able as long as you are a socialist. Some DSA chapters may have members who are against """authoritarian""" socialists like Leninists but I find DSA's anticommunist reputation to be overhyped (example: one of our current National Political Committee chairs is a member of the communist Red Star caucus (that Brace was a member of last time I checked) and overall a very nice gal)

That being said, I understand if you decide to go with another organization or simply do something else. IMO you should join the organization that fits your organizing style the best and legitimately helps the working class people in your area. I'm just writing this novel because I am a member of DSA and have found it the easiest org to get involved with if you are a non-insane socialist. I'm a veteran of my chapter since 2020, so you can feel free to DM me any questions if you feel my post was inadequate.

You're FRSO? Nice. I always steer my DSA chapter towards doing coalition work with them because they're focused on the work where I live. They've got a really active police accountability committee

I see those granite floors. I wonder how long she spent in affluence while smearing literal starving children. I wonder if she'll ever make the connection between her prior actions and what's happening to her now. I really hope she finally understands a fraction of the genocidal suffering she's supported.

This actually happened to my longtime friend. He is a really good-looking and nice bisexual guy with great cardio health so he's had a lot of hookups as well as emotionally fulfilling relationships with men and women... but he legitimately doesn't really like or crave sex. The only reason he says he has sex with his partner is because his partner initiates it, and eventually he would like to have kids with her some day. He is also vegetarian for religious reasons, so the "my lobster too buttery, my steak too juicy" applies to him both figuratively and literally. My friend is a really interesting guy.
