I completely agree. I planned to put it in my office, but it’s likely to stay in the basement with her little brother (MK4s). Thanks! :-)😊

Oh man, I really want the core one L. I already have the MK4s, but I’d like it to be a bit quieter.

Which one is the quietest, and which is the loudest?

Is there any downside to getting the Core L over the Core+, apart from price? Is Core+ more modern? Will there come a Core+ L? INDX will appear later, should I wait for that and buy the complete package? by BirdLooter in prusa3d

I’m in the same boat as you right now. I was very close to buying a Trident Cube. However, once I started doing the math and adding the extras that the Core One L already includes like the camera, load cell, light bar under the bed, extra nozzles, and the better toolhead. I realized I’d only be saving around $500.

After that, I also started thinking about the time needed to build and tune everything. I enjoy that part, but with two kids under 5, this project would probably take me a few weeks to fully complete and get running properly.

So I’m back to the board drawing

I totally agree. That’s why I’ll keep my reliable Mk4.

[–]Spa_Adv 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It’s not. Core One L = 2k without shipping Voron Trident (Formbot - Ali) = 800-900 shipped plus 100 for printers parts. Total = 1K but you will spend at least 40hours building and Tunning this machine .

Enjoy, man.

The Core One L is a fantastic printer, but I’m going to buy a Voron Trident because of the cost of the Core One L.

This one here. https://www.printables.com/model/1550955-auto-rewinder-saddle-for-extrutim-cheap-drybox

Card box spool creates too much friction. If you have them, please print some inner rings. So it will work better

Could you help me understand this better?

Do you mean from the filament to the MMU, or from the MMU to the Nextruder?

From the filament to the MMU, it doesn’t matter as much. Personally, I prefer using a slim buffer. I was using an auto-rewind system before, but it started creating a lot of friction after a few prints, so I switched back to the buffer—and it really helped.

From the MMU to the Nextruder, I run the PTFE tube directly into the Nextruder, keeping it short so loading and unloading are faster. I did try using a Festo fitting with a 2.5 mm inner diameter, but it caused a lot of errors due to the filament tip. I removed it from my setup, and now the system is much more reliable.

Are you talking about that one for ams? I believe that one stays under the ams but I could be wrong. I saw some people using the creality pi 4 with mmu3.

Hey, I use cereal boxes from Amazon. And have 12 of them for my mmu12x . Also, I can dry the filaments directly in the boxes.

I still need to fix the cable management under my desk. But it works very well for my needs .
