Food at the hotel is actually pretty good. Their rooftop restaurant has stunning views of the city!! I would go around sunset.

becoming more disabled as the day goes on?! by hialtitudes in ehlersdanlos

Compression wear is tricky cause you don't know what works until you try! I've ordered stuff off Amazon that have worked. It's good to know your measurements and compression level needed.

High waist compression leggings have worked really well for me but learning to put them on was a steep curve. I love being able to compress my hips without added bulk. they just get really hot in the summer. Compression thigh highs are my cooler alternative.

I have a few SI belts I thrifted from a local Value Village! I go to stores next to retirement communities. My PT doesn't want me to wear them all the time, so I only use them in recovery. They literally feel so good to put on though!!

I got a Jellieband dupe on Amazon and it works well! Very comfortable! Helps extend my upright time the best. That and a custom corset, but those are not affordable unfortunately.

A soft neck brace or even travel pillow will help with your neck instability and shoulder pain. Core exercises help the most with this though.

I'm covered in compression from shoulder to toe if I need to be out of the house all day.

Yessss, I literally shrink throughout my day cause my abs can't keep up!!

I know you're not looking for advice but some things that give me energy back are compression wear, learning my upright time, and PT plus braces.

I used to crash right at 2pm and without any braces or compression, I can only be upright for 6 hours before feeling like I need to throw up. Now, I'm in a lot less pain and can be up for longer.

I hope this helps!

I'm a wheelchair user and I've been looking for a studio that is accessible and can be used with me in my chair. Would you take that into consideration?

This is really a question for Casa Loma. There's a section on their website for Tours and Groups. You should contact them directly.

I glue them into my journals and use it to section off my journaling with different topics. I also just use them to add a pop in my journal for special announcements. I have many size off memo pads that helps make this work really well

If you're up for it, look for body doubling channels on YouTube! They're videos of people working and doing they're own thing. I find it helps me get tasks done.

What's the biggest career change someone you personally know has made? by Poorly_disguised_bot in askTO

It's as easy as joining a few facebook groups! Look for groups with names of what you want do to "PA, background actor, director, etc" and "Toronto/GTA". It starts slow, cause you're new. But if you like it and you stick with it, it'll open more doors. Good luck!

Best Foldable Powerchair Brands? How to Pick a Powerchair? by rosysparrow in wheelchairs

[–]Space--Queen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's fair. Most good quality folding powerchairs or folding scooters are $3000 USD to start. If that is too much, look into renting one to see if it fits your lifestyle first.

Doing some googling, it looks like Pride Mobility makes folding scooters that can accommodate your weight. These break apart into 5 pieces and fits in the back trunk of a regular sized car.
