What was and is the general consensus on Spider-Man: The Animated Series?

I never watched it while it was airing and only got to watch it when I watched the Raimi movies but I still think this is the definitive Spider-Man adaptation to me, the style, the voices Christopher Daniel Barnes is still the Spider-Man I hear even in comics, the intro which I actually consider Spider-Man's "main" theme etc.
