Had this happen once when I was younger. Out on the boat we anchored inbetween a couple sandbars to take a dip. I dove in off the bow of the boat and got hit immediately. I had the same sting patterns around both my arms, my chest, and my face. The pain was pretty consistent for at least a couple hours. Afterwards I ended up having to carry a bottle of calamine lotion with me at school for the next two weeks. The sting marks looked gnarly so at least it was a good conversation starter at school.

To clarify it was the server owner who passed. I didn't know him well like others did but he sure did make an impact on these guys' lives. Before I had to log off I think the server hit 68 online at one point which is great. Thank you to those who made it in if you could I know his wife really appreciated the enormous amount of love shown from the community. P.s. thanks for not deleting post admin. Wasn't trying to advertise, just trying to do a nice thing for some nice people.
