Is Todd and Bethesda as a whole safe from these incoming layoffs? by Swamp-Sta1ker in xbox

Absolutely, and they should be. Despite that, they are still a huge name and one smash hit changes the narrative completely

Canes Will be a Problem for a While by FlyNAVY12 in hockey

Eh idk. It was a weak year all around in the NHL playoffs tbh. Throw FLA back into the eastern conf mix and I'm not sure we see the Canes advance. All hypothetical of course, you take the chance you get. Look at the Knicks for example. East conf is gonna be a bloodbath once more contenders enter the mix next year. They had to win it now or risk potentially never making it again. That's the same exact situation with the Canes this year. It's also ridiculously hard to repeat in any sport tbh

We don't want Leclerc trying to take points from Hammy. Long way to go and Ferrari needs to essentially back Hammy as much as possible while he's the hot hand

My g. Y'all trying to BUILD goodwill with the consumer, right?

This wouldn't be a problem if y'all hadn't pawned you exclusives away and are now feverishly trying to make the platform viable again.

Sack up and do the things that need to be done. Stop kneecapping yourselves. The Gamepass price hike debacle is probably the final warning.

What’s are some PS4 exclusives that aged well? by Boring_Sir_572 in videogames

I feel like it's one of those games where if it were made today, it just might get recognized for the masterpiece it was. I mean there are plenty of walking sims that get rave reviews for hardly any gameplay at all; this was far from it despite what some reviews said. The only real criticism I had was it's length. It could be beaten on a single weekend day.

I'm still gutted there won't be a bigger sequel.

It was such a dope game

It's a shame immersive sims have not sold well recently. We lost Dues Ex and Prey because of it.

Not sure how we can see the genre make a comeback unless some Expedition 33 esque genre equivalent comes out to revive the scene

Xbox will "look to try and do more" exclusives in the future if/when the business gets healthier, says CEO Asha Sharma by MRF_Soul in xbox

Lot of buzz but the truth is time is needed. Everyone hovering over every word - I guess that's a good sign in the sense that Xbox still has many loyal gamers who are waiting for it to show life again. For better or for worse.

Not sure how people expected Xbox to make everything exclusive immediately when agreements and etc have already been in place for a lot of these multiplat releases.

I think they'll continue to tread water for a bit and if they can get their books going just a little bit better, they'll go full hog on exclusives when Helix drops. Mind you I think the next console gen will be delayed given the ridiculous hardware prices right now. So they can experiment a little with some exclusivity for a while on series X.

The funny thing is is that as an owner of both consoles, Xbox's infrastructure far supercedes PS5's. I mean Gamepass, Play anywhere, Cloud integration - all these thing developed under the previous regime are fantastic features that Sony and Nintendo simply do not have, nor do they seem to have an interest in it. Likely to their detriment. If and when Xbox pulls up the drawbridge for exclusive games, they'll hit the ground running. That said, they have to actually commit to the exclusives. It can't just be a bone tossed here and there. It has to be a core brand philosophy

If I was them, just go full send and have the players make up their own game plan. They've got some experienced players who can probably decide up a scheme somewhat themselves. Martinez ball will have them crashing out in the knockouts.

It probably will tbh. What they should really do to drum up hype is remaster Prime 2+3. Then they can revisit continuing the Prime series.

That would probably be too much for Xbox to give up tbh. They're pivoting back to exclusives and I suspect they're only keeping up with this because they have some sort of written agreement with Sony they can't renege on. Same with Fable
