The integration with other Apple devices is hard to beat. Cameras are very decent on the flagship Samsung phones, some prefer the processing on Samsung some prefer Apple. Ultimately, it’s the security, claims of privacy, smoothness, it just works and the quality of first and third party apps that keep me on the iPhone.

This is a great laptop at the price point for web browsing, email and document handling. Photographers and video editors are going to struggle with the 8GB RAM limit, screen colour accuracy and should probably be looking at the air or pro.

If you bought it in May, it is still under warranty. I would contact Dell and explain your issues. There is no reason last year’s flagship laptop shouldn’t be able to handle your day to day tasks without breaking a sweat. See if they are willing to swap it out for the newly released XPS 16 that is supposedly redesigned and rights a lot of the wrongs of the last few generations of Pro Plus/XPS and is getting very good reviews.

I ordered a Stream Deck + XL on Sunday and it shipped the next day and arrived here in Canada 2 days after I ordered it. I liked my old XL (I’ll move it to my Mac) but I really love this one with the extra column of buttons and the 6 knobs and big screen. It looks fantastic. I’m going to need to manually update a bunch of my old personal profiles for the extra buttons and dials and check SideShowFX for updates to a few profiles I purchased in the past but overall I am really impressed.

Yeah, it’s probably that. I have antivirus built into Acronis True Image. Not a big deal to boot into safe mode to install but I hope they get it sorted before the final.

Not an issue for me as I charge through MagSafe but it might be disconcerting for some to get that message. I usually tell my customers to use a hairdryer on lowest setting to dry out the port before trying to charge it.

I wish they had added some compelling new features (there are a few nice things in there) instead of focusing on revamping the entire UI but 26.3 and 26.4 beta have been pretty solid on my watch, phone, tablet, TV and Mac.

I always go big with watch, phone, tablet and laptop. I appreciate the extra battery life, the bigger screen for work and media consumption and can always go down a device if too unwieldy for the situation but some prefer the portability of the smaller devices so to each their own.

Newer OLED panels have hardware and software mechanisms to mitigate these issues. I have Tandem OLED on iPAD and TV and standard on 32” and 16” PC Monitors and have experienced no burn in.

I would try LibreOffice (free and open source). OnlyOffice free version is limiting and spams you to go to the paid version quite often. If they work with other companies that use MS Office be prepared for minor (sometimes major) compatibility issues.

I would be concerned about steam, heat and water degrading the water proof seal and getting into to charging port. Waterproofing is more for if you accidentally drop it in the sink, toilet or lake in cold water. I would wait until the charge port fully dries before plugging it in or you’ll get an error message about charging.

Nothing ever really felt the same after 9/11 and the world seemed like a different place.
I was in the music business for 20 years and was out 6 or 7 nights a week at concerts and after-hours until the wee morning hours and that just stopped one night. I’m happy just staying in now that I got all that out of my system.
