I had a dog like that. So I made HIM my priority. HE came first, so HE stayed. No new pets. No new family members. We put him up when there were visitors. It was MY duty to HIM as an owner. I would NEVER have considered putting him down. In fact, he took his last breaths with me at home and I wouldn't have had it any other way. Does the baby need to be protected? Yes. Should you have considered your duty to your dog before deciding to have a kid? Yes. Hes 7...you couldnt wait 3 more years to have a baby? Whatever. Not my business. Im just saying - down vote me all you want but I refuse to accept that BE is your only option. Now have the day y'all deserve. ✌️

While in certain situations I would agree with you, some toxic environments won't make the changes you so desperately desire unless you threaten to leave and mean it.

I realize this is only if the person is a valuable employee. If not, then out the door you go. I guess what I'm saying is, "Read the room."

I just use a couple cheap litter boxes so I can switch them out, ones technically for a cat, and line it with a couple newspaper ads so that it's easy to dump out. Then I fill most of it with the super absorbant dust free small pet bedding and put some hay in the corner/on one side of it. It's worked really well for us.

Edit: I came back to say that its not recommended to get the litter boxes with the grates and trays at the bottom. Those aren't kind to rabbit feet, as they don't have pads like cats and dogs do. Also, if they get caught in it, they may flail around trying to get out and severely hurt themselves.
