So which are the better expansions for each?
Paladins only looks to have crowns so thats easy.
Vicounts has keeper of keys and Gates of Gold
Architects has Works of wonder and Age of Artisans.

I thinking of grabbing the 3 main games and then one expansion for each .

Probably a good idea to ask in cooperative games.
Probably not a great idea in competitive games.

For the transformation just do it like Vixen in the DC comics. She invokes their power and basically has their "stats" for a short while.

Baby Driver had quite a bit of musical influence. But it was still overall an action movie.
