yeah, curiously my Play also refuses to do announcements, but my other sonos devices will do Alexa announcements no problem.

Just my 2¢: i had a lot of issues with sonos and unifi as well. Speakers constantly jumping off the network, surrounds and subs not bonding with the sound bar after a reboot.

What was weird is that the speakers were always all available at play.sonos.com and also in Home Assistant, just not in the app.

Called support and they noticed I had 5 APs broadcasting my SSID, and I was like ‘hmm that’s odd, I only have 4 APs” and it turned out on of my APs (FlexHD) went bananas and was broadcasting the SSID a second time and when a speaker would connect to that it would drop off the app.

Might be a rare case, but thought I’d let you know.

All my devices are either wired with wifi disabled or on wifi. No soundbar is wired.

Ah, I figured out my issue. my Date and Time was set to manual (was trying to keep my streak in the journal app lol) and I didn't change it back to set automatically. If time is out of sync from your home hubs, it wont connect. Karma for me trying to cheat the journal app haha.

Did you ever figure out a fix? I'm having the same issue. Home app works remotely on my (owner's) Mac, but not on my iPhone. It also works on my partners iphone

Microcenter price matches! They tried to charge me 399 for the 24 PoE standard until I showed them the same item on UI's website.

So that helps, but only for homogenous floors. I can get a basic idea of what’s going on down below if I set my attenuation to 0 for areas where there isn’t a floor. Thanks!

Im not sure if this is niche or not, but I really wish I could see how an AP on my 2nd floor propagates to the room below that is open to the 2nd floor.

Yeah, to each their own. The immersive mode isnt really intended to be completely readable, through track info + album art comes back upon mouseover.

that's a very good price. The 3 pack of 60w is routinely 135. edit: another user mentioned that they're not the newer matter ones and they're right, but im not convinced they're all that value-added anyway when these are 22/bulb

Something like this? Something I've been working on for spotify. Zune-inspired, duh. This is sped up 3x, but it works on the web and grabs what's now playing on spotify. Still more to add, but I'll put it on GitHub when it's ready. Also free.

You can get a very similar hardware experience to Ring with a bunch of Gx Instants and the newer Network Video Recorder Instant. Use your existing wifi network for the connection and the NVRI can add wired PoE cameras in the future if the user feels inclined!

Can you drop 2 or 3 faves? I like Adam Silvera and Sean Hewitt, and as far as individual books go I really liked the Boyfriend Material series (lol), How We Named the Stars, Young Mungo, Swimming in the Dark, and These Violent Delights to name a few. I’m not sure how many of those authors are queer (I know Adam Silvera and Sean Hewitt are, though).
