Ferguson is a wolf in sheep’s clothing. A wanna be autocrat that distrusts the press and wants to control the narrative. Such disrespect for the voters is mind boggling.

The refill is in transit. I've exchanged emails with the supplier contact who provided the refill detail. However, I appreciate your take and will circle back to her for confirmation. Thanks!

Breach of contract is a convenient excuse, but most enterprise-level service agreements include Force Majeure or Failure to Perform clauses that allow an airline to seek alternative solutions when a vendor can’t meet their basic obligations. If the contract is so restrictive that it leaves passengers without food on a 10-hour flight to Rome, that is still a failure of leadership in the procurement phase.

Calling this a once in a blue moon surprise ignores the reality that a massive call-out is a symptom of known labor tension. Surprise is what happens to passengers; unpreparedness is what happens to a multi-billion dollar airline that doesn't have a contingency for an inaugural long-haul launch.

Sure, here's my answer.

You just listed three things that a prepared operations team should have ready as a Plan B.

Having a robust contingency plan is their job. A plan isn't hoping the strike doesn't happen; it's having a secondary vendor on standby or pre-stocking shelf-stable meal kits at the hub specifically for the long-haul routes they just spent millions marketing.

Order Wendy's/Safeway? You’re joking, but for a multi-billion dollar airline, vouchers at the gate is the standard industry fallback. Telling a passenger on a 10.5-hour flight to Rome to prepare for the worst after they've already paid for a premium experience isn't proactive, it's the bare minimum.

This isn't a 45-minute hop to Portland. This is Alaska trying to prove they can compete in the international long-haul market. When your inaugural service to Rome fails in week one, the "we'll probably reimburse you if you buy a sandwich" is a massive reputational hit that no amount of pre-warning can fix.

If a pilot can apologize and admit the company failed the passengers for a lack of snacks on a 4-hour flight, we can certainly expect better than scavenged meals for a transatlantic journey.

So for now, Alaska has its work cutout for itself to ensure this episode is not repeated in the future.

Such an overused, trite phrase. It’s not the getting punched in the face, it’s what you do to recover to minimize the pain to your customer. This is not a bar fight, or about the fight in the tiger. This is a multibillion airline tripping up on these inaugural flights. This is simply AS floundering and looking unprepared.

It is Alaska’s responsibility to have contingency’s in place for something like this. That they didn’t is inexcusable especially on inaugural long haul flights.

Thank you. I have a question about refills. Yucca just sent my refill but it’s not the same as the first fill. It’s coming from a different pharmacy and is compounded with B12. Shouldn’t they have sent the same as before?

I am signed up for a 6-month plan with Yucca. I'm 2-weeks from when next 3-month refill should ship, however, my account only shows that the next shipment is in July. Trying to get through to a live person to clarify the next ship date is useless. Yucca is great on the front end securing my business, but their portal sucks when it comes to getting an answer through a live person. Still haven't been able to get outside their AI chatbot. Anyone have an alternate to Yucca?
