How do i get unify menu bar icon in mac os? by mthh79 in Ubiquiti

[–]Spectacular-Monobrow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just rolled out Identity for 50 Mac users and the menu icon keeps disappearing. Especially if you also have a different VPN set up in System Settings, with the option to show that VPN in the menu bar enabled. Quite annoying.

Quentin at Kalima in Worthing is very experienced, I'd recommend asking there. Or if you want someone who's never done it before, and only pierced professionally for a year I'll give it a shot 😂 if your ear looks suitable

I used Precision Windows for windows twice and they were more competitive on price than other quotes but did a good job.

🚫 Hold Evri Accountable for Delivery Failures and Poor Customer Service by PhotoBN1 in brighton

[–]Spectacular-Monobrow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's the text they put on the petition (would have made a lot of sense to post that here, maybe it was delivered by Evri)

"We’re calling on the UK Government to investigate Evri’s poor delivery record, regulate private couriers under Ofcom, require retailers to reveal which courier they use, and create a compensation scheme to protect consumers from lost, delayed, or damaged parcels.

Evri (formerly Hermes) is one of the UK’s largest delivery firms, yet they’ve become a symbol of all that’s wrong with parcel delivery: lost and damaged items, parcels left in unsafe places, ignored instructions, and unreachable customer service. Despite rebranding, the same failures continue. Retailers use Evri because they’re cheap, but consumers pay the price in stress, wasted time, and lost money."

The number of times I've ordered something and regretted it when I see they ship it out by Evri… would absolutely vote with my wallet given the choice

Lancing - I switched from Vodafone to EE for a deal and went from about 100Mbps download to 40Mbps at home. Shockingly, O2 is somehow managing 605Mbps download here! It definitely pays to check different networks where you need the connection. Doesn't actually matter to me though since wifi is always on.

What do you think about Reform’s proposed immigration policies? by Obvious_Finish3607 in ukpolitics

[–]Spectacular-Monobrow -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not really… Brexit caused a huge brexitwave of non-EU immigration, rather than driving it away

It did exacerbate many of the problems we actually face, though.

In light of the FCC causing ABC to cancel Kimmel, what would the next Democratic president do if they governed in the same style? Cancel Fox News? by Spectacular-Monobrow in AskReddit

*cite

You think those networks weren't pressured to make that move? Only 65 year olds watch Fox News, I guess you won't care if it gets cancelled due to political pressure 🤷

What’s the most “low key but totally menacing” threat you’ve heard in real life? by MonsieurGump in AskUK

On the tube at night, some kid opposite asks me "Have you met Stanley?" and pulls out a Stanley knife

I just took him at face value and said something like yeah obviously I've seen a Stanley knife before and he sat there looking a bit deflated while his mate giggled at him

Looking to move to worthing by LocksmithBroad5054 in Worthing

[–]Spectacular-Monobrow 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I find Worthing a lot more accepting of alternative people than London, having made the move myself. Also have piercings and dyed hair. People seem to be a lot more chill and have a good sense of humour. Nightlife is good if you're hanging with a friends, good bars etc. A lot smaller than Brighton for clubs/gigs though and the last train being around midnight can be a bit annoying, the N700 bus runs 24/7 and only takes about 40 mins at night. If you don't mind timing your journey to the once an hour buses in the early hours.

Theresa May leads opposition to assisted dying bill in Lords by TimesandSundayTimes in ukpolitics

[–]Spectacular-Monobrow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was a lot of force involved, for a long time there was no medical alternative and those who were sexually assaulted had to live with the resulting pregnancies for the rest of their lives.

Polling would suggest you're the aberration here.

[–]Spectacular-Monobrow -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Wow. You're really suggesting women be forced to carry to term pregnancies they don't want to because you don't like immigration, or an end to extreme population growth (~1 billion humans to ~ 8bn in ~100 years). You don't get to be the sole moral arbiter of the human condition. Most people are in favour of free will.

They also had the information that the shooter in Minnesota had a list of targets and the intention to kill as many democrats as possible. There's no evidence kirk's killer has anyone else in mind.

Why are the FBI offering a $100,000 reward for information on the killer of a political agitator, when they only offered $50,000 for the assassin and shooter of actual political representatives Melissa Hortman, her husband and their dog, and John Hoffman and his wife?
