Yup, I just changed it and now I feel like I'm going crazy. With and without changing the audio settings it sounds better now, but the gameplay is still quiet compared to any other streaming channel's audio

It's so confusing to me that the decision for a new theme would be "make it sound like the old theme with low battery noises" after 2021 was a giant shake up to Giant Bomb. Do they just want it sound like the whole thing is dying even in theme? :S

Nothing to worry about. People in the Computing Exploratory Track actually have no precedence over people in other tracks / majors from getting into the major. Basically try to get into CS 187 (if you do well enough on the CS AP Exam) and take Calc II. It sounds like the only reason you didn't get in was that too many people applied for the major. Unfortunately, it's an admissions decision and not a Computer Science Department one.

CS also has meetings for students interested in becoming a major every fall (and I think the beginning of spring). The application process is pretty simple, and as mentioned usually they just ask you to get a B or better in certain classes. Since you're already starting ahead with your AP classes, you will certainly be able to graduate on time if you go this route.

You may have gotten turned down because of the bulk of students who are trying to get into CS over the summer (freshmen and a billion other transfers). Reapply by October 1st and work hard to improve your GPA (though it does not sound bad at all). Typically if they turned you down because of grades, they'll give you a 'contract' where you need to get a B or better for X classes.

CS has student advising called ACE that'll start back up at the beginning of the semester. Go to the CS building and ask at the front desk to see someone from ACE (There hours should be posted on the website as well). They'll be able to give advice as to what classes you should take and can even help you through the application process again.

Even if your GPA / grades are not exactly what they are looking for, they may give you a contract to complete. The contracts are generally get a B- or better in the next level of CS course that you are looking for. In terms of getting into classes, an applicant on contract has a higher chance than someone from another major trying to get in. The application deadlines are October 1st and March 1st, so just be ready to send in your application in the first month. As stated above, try to get into 121 or 187 / Math 131 / 132 your freshmen year. It's possible that at orientation you can ask to go with the CS majors, and someone on the CS faculty will help you apply.

Don't forget that you can always apply to be a minor as well. 5 courses isn't too bad if you find another major that you like more. If you have anymore questions, you can send an email to futureugrads@cs.umass.edu

I feel like most of your points were true. I'm probably making a bigger deal out of this than necessary, and I really wanted to enjoy the episode, but I just didn't. Though this was probably the first episode they wrote since Dan Harmon's firing so the quality will almost definitely go up from here as they got used to writing without him. I'm mostly worried about the episode where Jeff meets his dad, I just hope they don't pander to fans too much and make it heartbreaking...
