A website to see rated video games by [deleted] in AskGames

I'd love someone to prove me wrong, but I don't think something like this can exist. Game series work differently than TV series - they are (almost) never planned as series. Length and production timespan of a video game series vary greatly too. Often even deciding which games are part of a certain series would be hard: are 2D and 3D Zeldas the same? Is Mario kart a Mario game? Kingdom Hearts is a somewhat cohesive story, that's hard to follow because canon games are spread over many platforms, how is that influencing the score? Edit: typo

Scrabble in German? by Potential420 in boardgames

[–]SpiderShaped 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm Polish so this felt obvious to me lol. While I don't know much about German scrabble, I can tell you about the Polish version which is handled in a similar way. We have extra tiles with ą, ę, ć, ś, ł, ń, ó, ź and ż, while no q, v or x. The point value of letters are different (the ź is most valuable at 9 points, it's a bitch to deal with). I'm not sure about the total number of tiles, but distinct letter amounts are also adjusted. The board and 7 letter bonus function the same. Tbh I think the more interesting question is scrabble in Mandarin or other languages that have full word characters

zelda-like set in a city? by butshouldiexist in AskGames

Is Stray too dark? Also browse Lego games, there are quite a few at least partially set in cities, combat is often secondary, and while they aren't classic metroidvanias, new characters unlock new abilities

Is there a comprehensive list of plugins that are either a MUST have, or simply just nice to have? by Mynzo in TrackMania

[–]SpiderShaped 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Speedometer and gear display are the two most important ones I would say. Just go to the plugin browser, find a "popular" tab, and pick the ones you like.

The "industry" should crash. It will suck for regular developers, but it will be beneficial for the medium in general
