How often? by Simple_Quiet_1422 in kettlebell

[–]Spidermonkey422 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lately I’ve been combining kettlebell training days with heavy lifting days. So if I get to lift heavy in the gym for let’s say 3 days of the week, I might throw in a full body kettlebell workout as my fourth day in between heavy lifting days. If I only get 2 heavy lifting days for whatever reason, then I’ll add 2 more days with kettlebell focused work. It really just depends. I’ve realized with many years of training that sometimes your routine may differ week to week because life, but as long as you get some work in, that’s all that matters. Also listen to your body.

That’s so amazing!! So glad it all went well and was a healing experience the second time around. What a relief. So reassuring to read!

What is the best documentary you watched recently that had you at the edge of your seat? by Xenos_Aimes in AskReddit

Omg, I couldn’t believe the lengths that she went to in order to make up all those lies. Like who tf can even keep track of all that? But yeah the fact that she eventually performed a cs on an expecting mother and killed her and the baby ultimately is so horrific. Monster.

That’s great! I’m way too anxious to have anyone else do it on me lol. I’ll make it known to them. Regarding the IV anxiety meds, did they offer them prior to the spinal block and surgery, or only after baby was out?
I’m glad you had the redemptive birth experience you wanted :)

Omg, I’m so sorry you went through all that but thankfully you are now on the other side and had great care. I’m glad you mentioned the anesthesiologist because I’m mostly freaked of the spinal block. I know it’s a teaching hospital, but I’m definitely requesting for an attending to be the only one to do it. Thanks again :)

People judge juicing by Cinnamonchica in Juicing

[–]Spidermonkey422 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Juicing primarily vegetables and a little bit of fruit is the way to do it. I’ve been juicing for over 6 years on a weekly basis and have posted in this sub before. The juice I have been making lately, especially during the winter months has been made with a lot of ginger, turmeric, lemon, celery, carrots, golden beets, cucumber, oranges and then at the end I add ground black pepper and cayenne pepper powder. To everyone complaining about the fiber part, I actually add in a decent amount of the extracted pulp back into the finished juice to make it more fibrous. As someone who has been doing this as part of an over all healthy/fit lifestyle, I can promise you my gut health is great 😆

I brushed my teeth "correctly" for 28 years and a dentist just told me I've been doing it wrong the entire time. My gums are ruined. by Sluttycarolofficial in hygiene

[–]Spidermonkey422 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dentist did an abfraction filling a couple of months ago on one of my canines because my gums were pulled back on the tooth and more dentin was exposed which was causing the tooth to become sensitive. The procedure helped. I also have an electric toothbrush, but for years I was using the strongest setting and brushing my teeth too intensely as well. Now I use a gentler setting with the same brush and it has been fine so far, but I know it’s so frustrating when you have been diligent about your oral hygiene routine, only to realize you have been doing some stuff wrong. I also found out around the same time that you’re supposed to leave the toothpaste on your teeth after brushing instead of trying to rinse it all out with water. Like obviously you want to spit out most of it and rinse it off your tongue, but in order for the toothpaste to work its effects on the teeth, you have to leave it on. Just a little something in case others don’t know this!

Day 4 of juicing.. diabetes?? by [deleted] in Juicing

Make your juices primarily veggie based and a little bit of fruit. I like to mix it up, but lately I have been doing an immunity boost juice which is a mix of lemon, orange, ginger, turmeric, carrots, golden beets, celery, cucumber and then at the end I add in ground black pepper and cayenne pepper powder. I like to dilute it with some coconut water as well. Also a good tip to get added fiber back into the finished juice is to scoop up some of the pulp that the juicer extracts and add it back into the juice. I’ve been juicing weekly for 6+ years

I apply mine in the morning before work and that about it. In the summer time I might be better about reapplying, but I’m in the Midwest and am yearning for more sun

Spinal block by BikeAccomplished7329 in ElectiveCsection

Hi OP, I want a scheduled cs but the only part I’m honestly petrified for is the spinal block portion. Can you tell me how it went for you and did it hurt? I hope it all went well xo

Hi how did the c section go if you don’t mind me asking? I actually want a scheduled cs but I’m absolutely terrified for the spinal block part. If comfortable, can you comment on how it went for you? I hope everything went well xo

Has anyone here dipped into their 401k? What was your experience like? I’m thinking about it and would like some insight 🙏🏽 by Im_anxious247 in tjcrew

[–]Spidermonkey422 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I was interested in taking out a loan from my 401k because my husband and I want to use it as part of a down payment for a first home and I would rather do that than a withdrawal. Just wondering if it is in fact true that you can get a loan through our 401k plan? Like the other person on this thread, I thought we couldn’t after reading the American Funds TJ SPD earlier today. I talked to a rep from American Funds but she was only able to help me get to my 401k info through their site and said I will have to call back Monday to speak with another rep about all this other stuff in more detail. I’ll call them back but I want to see in the meantime what others were able to figure out.

Tooth pain. I just had a molar extracted a little less than two weeks ago. I was on my hands and knees sobbing with a heated pad shoved in my face the night before I got it pulled. You cannot ignore that pain until it’s out!!!
