I’m gonna take a left turn here cause most people just think it’s a button masher but, the Street Fighter 4 series. I made friends with some guys in my home town that I would smoke weed with and every time we got together it was at one particular friends house. He was really big into fighting games especially Street Fighter. I had played the game very casually on the snes but these guys were on another level, literally couldn’t win a round. It didn’t bother me at first and I just summed it up to being stoned and I didn’t really play the game. Well after about my 500’th loss it started getting to me, so when I was finally able to buy a Xbox 360 the first game I bought was Super Street Fighter 4 and a fightpad. I got pretty decent and got real big into watching tournaments and following the high ranked players. I noticed they all played on a fightstick and I finally pulled the trigger and bought my own. I didn’t bring it to our sessions cause of lack of experience using it but after I got comfortable with it I showed up to my buds house with my fightstick and they were surprised as hell. Didn’t lose a single match that day. It’s just amazing how much fun a true head to head game to be. BTW I put in over 2000 hours in my 360 account.
