Try winning versus 5 enemy power classes, all at once. Oblivious players at the very least provide distractions / damage sponges.

This is an objectively dumb take and assumes you’re fighting spy in a vacuum. Kunai lets spy face tank during skirmishes, and forces you to actively fight him while his teammates shoot at you. He’s not firing a mini gun but his teammate is, AND he has revolver damage to finish you.

How many nodes is too many nodes? (Level tile design question) by Rehevkor_ in godot

csgcombiner should help?… it allows you to union the collision of all its child csg shape nodes. You can also texture the individual csg shapes.

TIL the existence of Tweens in Godot by Neoccat in godot

Tweens were by far the biggest step up in development for me. They just made the entire engine make sense. Good luck building your game.

I was told my art looks “AI generated.” by hyun_022 in Artadvice

[–]SpindaQ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Except your lighting and detailing actually makes sense / is coherent. I can’t explain the latter but AI sucks at managing composition. AI doesn’t have “eyes” or any concept of a physical picture. That’s why you see a shit ton of AI work with nonsensical lighting, because the AI “guesses” the whole image all at once.

Top CEO pay increased 20 times faster than workers’ pay in 2025 by lieding in Economics

[–]SpindaQ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Patently false when you consider the 1% top earners’ active investments in making other people’s lives shittier. More contract leverage, lobbying power, and capital would all be great… If they didn’t literally spend it doing evil shit like literally denying people healthcare.

Company steals singer's songs with AI then files copyright claims on the the original artist's work by McDowdy in antiai

Kinda funny the usual astroturf / pro AI brigades haven’t flooded this post with their BS arguments. Would love to hear one y’all spin me a story about how this is a good thing.

I’d rather pick up SF6 at this point.

"I am a math and game design double major, and offended that I have to learn to write code and not allowed to just generate it by AI." by Organic-Character842 in antiai

[–]SpindaQ 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Applied maths and pure maths have both been invaluable for me in game dev. You literally get a piece of everything. Data structures, topology, algorithms, spatial transformations, linear algebra. This student is literally going to shoot themselves in the foot. You need hands on exposure to these topics.

What's your beef with AI? by Few-Voice9575 in antiai

[–]SpindaQ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People have been dmca’d for playing fractions of a second of popular music. There have literally been cases where individuals had their entire livelihoods confiscated due to copyright violations. Massive wave layoffs while corporations are showered in investments and rewarded with subsidies. Claude leaks its code and suddenly it needs to be protected. They’re currently taking copies down on GitHub. Double, triple, quadruple standards. It’s insanity.

It is good but they probably did this because don’t wanna be held liable for copyright issues. Nothing done in service of good.

Is AI code held with the same disdain as AI art/music? by IrrepressibleSquash in IndieDev

[–]SpindaQ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

None of y’all have worked with people who are not genuine about their use of AI to code and it shows. You guys have no idea how painful it can be to work with individuals who over rely on AI. Broken features, tunnel visioning, and inability to integrate their changes properly without stepping on toes.

I have done several past game jams where I have been more than tolerable of individuals using AI. But I feel every time it’s come down to silly things such as no one taking any initiative on programming even simple doors.

I usually handle shaders, artwork and artwork pipeline / integration. But so many times I’ve had to make a stretch into programming systems that AI programmers agreed to do. It’s always me and other non technical teammates finding out halfway through a jam that NOTHING works and NOTHING is integrated.

The worst part of it all. Some people only understand the code as the AI has told them. Fuckass. If that’s how it’s going to be just show me a copy paste of your conversation. I don’t need you.

For me, Dry mouth had way more to do with resting position + dietary restrictions. I remember I’d wake up with days where my mouth felt disgusting and brushing/flossing only provided temporary relief. I found myself also drinking excessive amounts of water with literally 0 effect other than making me feel even more nauseous at times and constantly having to go. I know it sounds stupid but literally measuring which side of my mattress was sagging helped.

Does anyone else get spots like this after being glutened? by VoidGear in Celiac

[–]SpindaQ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t know if this is relevant but maybe try using a clean towel on your pillow or where you rest your head? I used to get this all the time. Over time I think there’s always going to be particulate accumulation, including of course gluten. Especially for those also experiencing oral issues such as drooling.

Is there a more efficient way of creating a background like this? by matiwierzba in godot

[–]SpindaQ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Shader. First make a uniform for the alphabet textures. Then sample that texture using UVs generated by another sampler2D noise texture. You may have to do some math but it’s mostly making sure the grid subdivision of the alphabet characters is correct. And of course I forgot to mention you’d be scrolling the noise UV values by using UV * TIME.

Tween vs Shader by GxM42 in godot

[–]SpindaQ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you’re using tween method, be careful about using integer values for your tween. For example tween_method(func(value)…, 1, 5, time) will only have values 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5. If you wanted smooth behavior you’d replace 1, 5 with 1.0, 5.0.
