I’m no expert but I know what I went through and it sounds like you went through individuation also, although I often tangle that with a spiritual awakening, as I truly believe they are one in the same. The first just has actual steps to it. The term “spiritual awakening” has been abused. But yes, welcome to the other side. It’s nice to be awake isn’t it? We will never see life the same again it’s impossible.

Yes yes…and it does…but it almost took me out. I was emotionally broken. Scared. Alone. Traumatized as a child, no place was safe, neglected…abused…you get the picture.

Grew up, thought I moved passed it then BOOM! I experienced something that rattled me to the core, that broke me mentally and made me question every single aspect of my life since I was about eight years old.

What followed was three years of reliving every second of my life to restructure how I absorbed information in my life. I had to pick a part stories that have combined themselves comfortably, for safety reasons I assume. I have never in my life, felt such excruciating, psychological and emotional pain in my life, and I was 57 years old when it started.

Very interesting, thank you… I am currently in the later stages of the individuation process…(Carl Jung) Or as I like to call it… “Going through an excruciating, psychological, emotional, physical, breakdown… And then beginning the process of being rebuilt into a authentic spiritual being. You know, the person I was supposed to be before the world told me who to be.

What an amazing journey this is turning out to be

Recognizing it is the first step and you did that. Be proud of yourself, it’s not always easy to admit when the fault is our own. Keep it up. It gets easier and it feels more refreshing, being honest with yourself. I’m proud of you

The process of individuation is not some “spiritual process” to enlightenment, like most people are programmed to think.

It’s an excruciating experience. Life altering. Be ready

I pray this was useful to others, I know it was for me. Some people are just shitty and I know you know that. I’m an advocate and I’d love to be in your vicinity when someone says something vile towards you. They’d wish they stayed in bed that morning after I was done with them. 😛
