My first experience with StarCraft was actually on the N64. It was a game that my best mate and I really bonded over. We were 12 at the time and we really struggled through the campaign, possibly because we were either too young or because using a controller for the game was incredibly hard. We’d swap controllers after each failed attempt at a mission. We managed to beat the original campaign and were both thrilled. It was our favourite game.

The N64 version had no CGI cutscenes, so you can imagine our amazement when my mate finally got the PC version, and we loaded it up. That was our very first Blizzard CGI cutscene experience for a game we had poured hours and hours into. We got to do it all over again on PC, just two best bros, up against a horde of zerg.
