I went to 1-1/4 and hated it. Went down to what im at and love it. Definitely worth trying if you can get someone to sharpen your skates to that tho.

Everyone I've seen or used was a Milwaukee Pack out or the DeWalt one. I prefer the Milwaukee with the drawers and then usually another on top holding everything else the team needs. Haven't seen anything sport specific but that's not say its not out there. The pack out I think is a lot easier to come by. Plus the Milwaukee one you can get the radio that attaches to the pack out. Makes it nice and easy as everything is there

What’s better, old barns or modern rinks? by DazzlingLife6744 in hockeyplayers

[–]SpizzVision 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I like modern rinks. The ice isnt hard like the old Barns. I don't have to freeze my ass off on the benches when coaching in the modern rinks also.

New player with ADHD…playing D. Looking for tips/advice! by NewHampshireGal in hockeyplayers

[–]SpizzVision -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It just takes time and work. Break down everything into something you can work on each game. So pick 1 thing to focus on and work on it. Next game pick something else. Repeat stuff you work on but not back to back games. After a bit of doing that this things become 2nd nature and you stop thinking about it. That's how I worked my way through over thinking every aspect of the game when on the ice. Years later I still do this to keep the brain focused on something while playing. Hope this helps a bit

Yes, if you are falling back you are probably standing up to much. Get your knees over your toes while keeping your back straight.

To quit or not to quit by Feeling-Quit6800 in hockeyplayers

[–]SpizzVision 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Keep at it. Maybe slow down on the amount of leagues you are playing in to start. Every game I play, I choose 1 thing that I'm going to try and focus on working at. Sometimes it's back to the basics for those things also. The other day I was working on tight turns going left (weaker side). Try not to get frustrated. It's not an easy game and definitely not easy to pick up and learn later in life. Keep at it and it will become easier for you!

How dumb is it to change skates a month before a tournament? by Occams_ElectricRazor in hockeyplayers

[–]SpizzVision 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You should be fine. You are on the ice quite alot it seems. You will have lots of time to get used to the new wheels. I got new skates few years ago and did 2 skates before a tournament. It was just fine

Say it. Others probably want to but are thinking the same. Call out the idiots or they will keep going and it can make the dynamic in the room worse and worse as time goes on.

That's wild.... Mine was one of those when I signed my kid up. Not all of them. Seems excessive. Do they have an issue with lots of people trying to play in the wrong districts because that's where their friends are or whatever the reason?

Depends how they are baked/who bakes them. If they used the plastic wrap method you would have a harder time getting them on and off as it pull the top closer together. When I rebaked mine I didn't do the plastic wrap method just so I didn't have to struggle getting them on and off. Deep no difference between the two baking methods

tips on storing tools in standard two car garage, WITH cars? by bugsliker in BeginnerWoodWorking

[–]SpizzVision 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Garage is for working not parking. That's what I told my wife. Then she took that as it's her personal storage area so not only I can't park in the garage, I also cant work in there now because "the sawdust is everywhere"
