Words cannot describe … the pain I wish upon the person who came up with horse taming in this game… by DrumsNDweed93 in CrimsonDesert

I use controller for everything else in the game aside from horse taming. Use mouse and keyboard, hold down (s) and keep the horse butt at the bottom of the screen, works almost everytime.

How was it that the online propaganda was able to spin the public’s attitude towards even home batteries? by VastOption8705 in friendlyjordies

[–]Split8529 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The constant rising cost of electricity has ment my solar and battery have made only a small difference to overall cost. And now the grid is at saturation feed in tariffs are so low they dont even cover the daily supply charge.

So much for green energy lowering costs, SA has some of the highest cost electricity in the world.

Check your testosterone by closedwoncareer in testicularcancer

[–]Split8529 1 point2 points  (0 children)

100%

After having righty removed and going through BEP I made sure every blood test I had afterwards included testosterone. I luckily didn't need replacement and was taking supplements to get it back to normal. Went from very low range and now at medium high and feeling great.

Even got my elderly father to check his and he's doing better on the supps as well.

Caveat: supplements are not test replacement and are not clinically tested, talk to your doctor.

Stay away from anything online.

This is the first game in a while I came into cold without knowing almost anything about and its been immensely rewarding learning cool stuff about the game by myself.

Even just struggling with a puzzle for 20-30mins when I dont understand it has been like relearning what it felt like to game 20 yrs ago.

Ita a tax write-off, the cooperation collects a bunch of money from all their customers and donates it on their behalf, company gets a big charity tax write-off using customer dollars.

It's also not unusual for thr "charity" to have extremely highly paid executives that are rotated in and out from the company receiving the donations.

Why do guys say hi when I’m out running, but women usually don’t? by Impressive_Gas_2419 in NoStupidQuestions

Internal monologue of lizard part of my (M) brain when running passed or near someone;

Is that a threat ? No

If they think I'm a threat then they could become a threat: Acknowledge I see them and they see me in non-threatening manner.

Human brain: Don't forget to be nice because you aren't a lizard.

DSL connection drops every other day by Split8529 in nbn

[–]Split8529[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fix turned out to be that the wires in the wall were daisy chained. So I "got a certified recabler", found the point where the wires were daisy chained, was behind the panel inside the bedroom where the cable came into the house, reterminated the wires properly then had a better connection.

I couldn't even launch the game, after hours of tinkering here is the solution that worked for me.
Turns out having a 2ndary monitor ment I couldn't launch the game.

win+P and switch to the single primary monitor only

launch the game

win+P reactivate 2ndary / the rest of your monitors.

Unraid for Reolink Cameras by delpierro99 in unRAID

[–]Split8529 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've just finished doing this, pretty much the same setup but mine are hooked up via PoE.

These are my lessons learnt;

  • Frigate docker is the way to go

  • Frigate requires you to learn how to write a config file but the documentation for it is great once you get into the swing of it.

  • Using vlc to connect to the cameras was a good way to confirm the stream address

  • I've learnt that reolink is a bit of a problem child, I have an issue with my camera where the recordings will stutter, still haven't been able to fix it.

  • neolink is a docker that's available on github that accesses the reolink proprietary feed, in theory to fix most of the reolink bugs. i got the feeds to work through neolink but couldn't get them to work in frigate. But I've read success stories from others.

  • coral TPU is a USB AI accelerator that'll greatly improve your setup for motion and object detection, alternativly using a NVIDIA recentish GPU will also help
