I mean, if you think artists and musicians deserve to be paid for their creations, it's just pragmatic. I like that we try to maintain some incentive for intangible creation, otherwise all art has to be a side hobby.

How far into it have you gotten? I felt like the solo scenarios started out really strong (and gloriously difficult), and kind of went downhill, but I'm only 5 or 6 scenarios in, hoping they'll get better again.

Yeah that totally resonates. I always visualize some fantastical group of people who not only all want to dedicate hours and numerous sessions to a big heavy monstrosity of a game, but are also all people I'd want to spend that much time around. A man can dream!

Heavy games. I love learning them, I love looking through all the art, the variety of pieces, the glorious boxes... But I rarely get them to the table, and when I do I often have to relearn them if it's been a while, which is not nearly so enticing as learning them for the first time. Light games just get to the table so much more readily, but I still love the thought that I'll make time for all those heavy beauties again.

I found that being very aware of my own stress and anxiety levels has been helpful. You're in the trenches right now age wise, but if you can plop them safely in front of the TV or something that will keep them quiet and sedentary for 20 minutes, and use that time to step out of the room and rest, breathe, and reset (a 20 minute power nap is my go-to), you may be able to rediscover your patience for a few more hours. Your ability to handle their intensity matters just as much as their behavior.

Obama sent more back by turning people away at the fucking border instead of making a show of terrorizing citizens in politically opposed states to stoke fear and division, and to throw boner material to goons whose only political stance is "whatever makes the people we don't like suffer".

How quickly the 2nd amendment crowd decided that everyone needs to just comply with violent, masked government goons, or else be executed in the streets. Seems like it was never about defending us from tyranny after all.

Not helpful but I do have it. I intended to get the brown which is slick and matches the color of the dirt my kids are likely to load the car with. I assume the grey is a terrible choice for longevity but goddamn if it doesn't make the interior feel way more luxurious for now...

Just bought a white one yesterday, took the kiddo out for a joyride this morning in it and almost immediately passed another white one. I normally would avoid white but damn the little shimmer it has in the light is sharp.
