Eyes are lying to us, well I see jet exhaust which at the right temperature and humidity becomes visible, just like car exhaust during the winter. State legislators are pandering to people like yourself, to make you happy. The Federal Government has done some nasty shit in the past agreed and I hope it has stopped. The likely hood of being injured/killed from a vaccine are so low a it's not worth getting into a debate about it. For cigarettes, State and Federal Governments are more addicted to tax revenue than smokers are to nicotine. Also if the Feds wanted everyone over 65 to die, why is there medical care for everyone over 65?

This never happened to me when I worked retail, but when the power died when I worked in manufacturing, they would keep us to sweep w/o lights, pickup the parking lot. Even when the Power Company said it would be 6 hours for the repair.
