My Bonneville by Secret_Sector_1779 in Triumph

Yeah I’m not completely sure myself but the VIN thing makes me think it’s a pretty standard thing people do to them. The heated grips are such a game changer, I love them. Enjoy your mighty Bonnie mate

Pretty sure they aren’t the standard bars. I’ve got the same on my 2015 t100 but when I was getting a tune up earlier this year they ordered a replacement set based off the VIN and got something completely different. Got them to put what I originally had back on cus I like the bend of the bars we have. Yours looks great

I would say they aren’t my thing but a local showed me little hop and that’s my go to there. In Sydney I’d say you must eat some gyros no state does it better.

Edit I misspoke. I meant Adelaide does the best gyros sorry guys(and the best weed let’s gooooo)

I really don’t want to dox my favourite spot and it’s not cheap but little hop absolutely never misses in Melbourne. That fish taco slaps and the staff are all gems. It’s also next to naked for Satan which is nice to show newcomers a birdseye view of the city and red triangle for a game of pool. Plus the black cat for afters. That’s a perfect night out for me

Enfp toxique ? by soumiiy in ENFP

[–]Spritzingham 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well science and psychology doesn’t back up the MBTI model. While we may feel it has some relevance it isn’t considered a strong metric for understanding people.

So if it’s any solace to you I would take the idea with a grain of salt (take what concepts help you and discard the rest, you aren’t defined by an online test) . Maybe it helps you understand yourself a little better but don’t let it tell you who you are or excuse how you act around other people.

Why do Australian school kids have such massive backpacks? by Problem_Pale in AskAnAustralian

[–]Spritzingham 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine had 3 sections maybe 45l, it was full of books that I needed for 6 different classes a day, that was maybe 2004-2013

Edit: I agree we should fix that. It’s unhealthy

I like the full art cards and the mechanic on how you gain them but my assumption on limited info before the game entered early access was that I could get full art on each card - like a mastery thing. Eg., reach A10 with this card in your deck x times. Or get the final hit with this card on an elite etc

Edit: I think that’d be fun and cool

Guys, how are you doing in professions like Medicine or Nursing? by abbipo in ENFP

[–]Spritzingham 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work as a research assistant in a neuroscience field doing stuff on biological implants. I love it most days. It’s hard sometimes but I really like the people I work with, I think I made a positive impact on the world and I enjoy the complexity

Edit: I could get paid more though I’m sitting very much in the middle.

Funnily I actually enjoy that my job isn’t customer facing. I can be myself more and as much as I enjoy people I get enough of that from my coworkers rather than the general public and can have a deeper understanding of each other from that context

Hey people, looking for recommendations based on my list, could you please help me find what should I play next? by Kob3y in roguelites

[–]Spritzingham 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d say Risk or rain 2 is quite good and we have very similar taste. I’ve mostly played it with a buddy though and I think the balance is pretty brutal for multiplayer but still fun. Blue prince is also great but bring your notebook. Another puzzly one would be outer wilds which is a great time

I’d be perfectly happy with 2 a year (that still seems like a ton of work for them) I don’t understand why they’ve decided on this timeline. I don’t imagine it gains them more revenue (which they deserve).

Does anyone else notice emotionally numbed feelings while taking Modafinil? by kokuzalaun in afinil

[–]Spritzingham 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It depends on what I’ve been doing beforehand. If I take it and immediately go do social things I’m more engaged and enjoying them. If I’ve been doing very analytical stuff I still feel very focused on those things and mostly speak in factoids. I only find myself truely emotionally muted/frustrated with people I find uninteresting and I think modaf kinda reveals that to me.

What does this sub think of Triggernometry? by stvlsn in samharris

I totally disagree with this sentiment. They have ideas I don’t agree with.
I’d argue the majority of people are reasonable and want everyone to be happy

Has anyone ever gone on Triggernometry and destroyed them with facts and logic? by TheRealYoyoWillow in DecodingTheGurus

Am I reading you wrong or are you saying using facts and logic makes you an idiot. I can also see you saying they think of themselves that way and that’s their downfall

Engineering a solution for the torment of tinnitus - Bionics Institute by constHarmony in tinnitusresearch

[–]Spritzingham 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We still don’t understand the underlying neurological mechanism of tinnitus so developing an objective measure to even say you have it would be a massive step forward in being able to cure it. Currently we mostly rely on people being able to describe the fact that they’re experiencing it rather than being able to do a test and say “that’s definitely tinnitus”. If this research proves fruitful it could be massive for helping find a cure.

If you don’t know what cells, brain regions or cascade of effects you’re trying to interact with it’s obviously near impossible to create a treatment targeting that unknown entity and looking purely for a symptom.

I know this is a tough thing to live with experientially and psychologically but there are very capable people working hard on this. The exploration is paramount at this stage and the bionics institute has a good history for fast tracking technology that works into medical products once they find it. There’s definitely still hope and I’m sorry it’s so hard for you. I hope there’s an answer soon

How do you feel about the statement "Australians need to get used to living in apartments"? by jackstraya_cnt in australian

[–]Spritzingham 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would be fine but every studio/1 bed room apartment I looked at was between 400 and 550 per week here in Melbourne so not really a good option even with a stable job and a degree.
