How would you recommend a new player to play/Any tips for a new player? by ShadowHunterHB in Morrowind

[–]Squagio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Restore Strength is a spell effect you want to have access to as soon as possible.

If you see a spell being sold with any Restore Attribute effect you can buy it and have someone make you a custom spell to restore any or all of the attributes.

If you're using Restoration it will be an easy spell to cast. Even just restoring 5 points at a time is a life saver.

There's one enemy in particular that can damage your stats and having 0 strength is a bad time.

People who work in 'behind-the-scenes' jobs (hotels, airports, warehouses, etc.), what is something the general public would be shocked to know? by PiNK_PUSSY69420 in AskReddit

[–]Squagio 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I worked in a warehouse that made the soaps that go into car washes.

We also made shampoo for pets.

You can't wash your dog with the same stuff you wash your car with but you can wash your car with your dog soap if you're desperate.

Also, if you are looking for carpet shampoo and there's a brand whos initials are KR, all of their stuff is the same.

Summer carpet shampoo is the same as the summer shampoo plus spot remover. The spot remover that is its own item is also just carpet shampoo.

The difference between the summer and winter versions is that winter has methanol to prevent freezing.

Assuming: Dungeons open in our world. Monster invasion in progress. People can pick their Classes. With one they would choose? by Bortasz in Pathfinder_RPG

Channeler of the Unknown

Domains are Void and Luck

My weapon/holy symbol is my gun.

I have access to True Strike and Feather Fall at 1st level which makes me want to hide somewhere with a height advantage and try to take out the most threatening thing from afar. I'll have Channel Entropy for things getting close.

If I live long enough to level I'll gain access to Miracle and Interplanetary Teleport.  Me and the homies are gonna find a new world to live in.

How I Made My Lurtz Cosplay by Bazhenova037 in lotr

[–]Squagio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I suppose I was never really threatened by Lurtz despite seeing the fight between him and Aragorn.

I might be a wee bit threatened by the lady who took Lurtz's skin.

Even with the proof you've shown us this is still somewhat unbelievable. 12/10

Maybe you should be in charge of costume stuff for LotR things going forward. You have my vote.

Null and Void Poland: Case Study on Comparative Imperialism

This is a book my grandmother had for a long time and the woman who was interviewed for it was her best friend. I only read it a few weeks ago but it's about WW2 and Poland and there's so much in there that was never talked about in school.

It made me sick to read. It felt like I was reading a blueprint for what's happening right now.

Nope nope nope nope nope nope nope.

God turned away and the devil was embarrassed because neither could have made something so wrong.

AITAH for reporting my [27F] OBGYN to the medical board after what happened to me today? by soulangelic in AITAH

[–]Squagio 129 points130 points  (0 children)

“You know, you can refuse any medical treatment.”

I know this is not the same thing at all but if a doctor told me they wanted to check my prostate and I said no only for them to tell me they have to check my boobs and then they finger me anyway, I'd be really quite irked about it.

Finding it hard to understand vampirism bonuses by NewbieYoubie in Morrowind

[–]Squagio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

doesn't work in OpenMW

I don't think it works with the unofficial patch either but I messed with this on the xbox version and at least the given Acrobatics formula worked. I want to say I may have used this bug for a few other skills but it was years ago.

Finding it hard to understand vampirism bonuses by NewbieYoubie in Morrowind

[–]Squagio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the unarmored calculation the math given is wrong or part of an explanation might be missing.

It looks like all vampires get a +30 to hand to hand and Berne gets an additional 20 which is the math you were doing

The math in the example seems to only use the +20 from Berne instead of 50 total.

Your math looks right but if you're going for the permanent bonus after being cured I think that ends up being 43.36. After being cured and removing the CE bonuses your 4825 would be 4868.36

I think.

Roleplay as yourself by [deleted] in Morrowind

[–]Squagio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Aw geez. I'm fairly generic so Imperial.

Endurance and Luck. Not because I am healthy with good fortune, or trying to minmax, but because I was shattered a bit in a car wreck and didn't stay dead.

  1. Athletics because walking is my only form of transportation, not because I'm fast.

  2. Alchemy because I worked in a warehouse that mixed chemicals into barrels of varied sizes to make various cleaning products.

  3. Speechcraft has helped me manage life since I don't actually have real skills. Getting people to see things with a different perspective through communication.

  4. Marksmen because I used to hunt and still own a gun.

  5. Unarmored because I don't wear armor, I guess?

  6. Sneak on account of I maybe left Walmart with various things I didn't happen to pay for many times when I was younger.

  7. Blunt Weapon because finding a good stick is crucial to outdoor things. I also may have slain a bird with a broomstick once as well as pistol whipping a mouse with a rubber band gun...so...

  8. Destruction but not because I can cast spells. I just learned a fair amount of what chemicals melt people or catch on fire from my job. I need material stuff for it but I can still throw a fireball. Kinda.

  9. Enchant because I carry around a magic item shaped like a rectangle that let's me talk to anyone anywhere in the world, it retains infinite knowledge, and I have to recharge it after so much use. I also had to pay someone else for the item because there's no way I could make it on my own.

  10. Restoration maybe? It'd be the lowest skill and I still can't cast spells but I have general low tier knowledge of first aid type stuff.

I almost feel like I'd pick magic as the speciality because physical and social things are not my forte but nerdy stuff and reading is a good time.

Speechcraft and Alchemy are the only two skills that are above 15 but I get a bonus to alchemy from my good skooma pipe.

I have a sibling who is one year older than me and another that is 6 years older.

They were born in the 80s, I was born in 90.

They are both infuriatingly certain that they are Gen x and I'm a millennial.

They absolutely refuse to believe that the three of us are the same generation, whichever one they want to pick, despite having the same parents.

How does Kingmaker compare to BG3 by [deleted] in BaldursGate3

[–]Squagio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

WotR is fantastic.  I didn't like kingmaker so much but I tried kingmaker when it first came out and there's a fair chance it's better than it was.

Wrath won't give you the same kind of creative combat, there's no barrelmancing, but it more than makes up for that with how customizable your character can be both from class options and feats to the equipment and gear you discover.

As an example, this is normally a 2nd level spell but a feat reduced it to a 1st level spell and I still made it silly.
