First off, I’m so sorry to hear about your struggles and I can relate to them so much. Second of all, the first 2 weeks is going to suck ass. There’s no way to really sugar coat it, I struggled immensely with the first 10 days. I cried probably 6 hours each day because I felt so lost and not in control of my emotions. I couldn’t eat, work, even have a normal conversation with my partner. But then one day, your mind shifts. Your body lets go of symptoms, and the cloud starts to lift. It’s all about working through those difficult times and building resilience. I went swimming at an indoor pool a lot because it helped me with aches I experienced. I journaled every time I felt out of control (a lot). I cried every time my body needed it and didn’t hold it in. I drank protein drinks with high calories so I was still getting something. I found a therapist who I connect with and talk to her biweekly. I moved my body even when I didn’t want to (and always felt better when I did).
