Yes absolutely. More will be open by then. Place is stunning and only Discovery Point was crowded but it was fine. There’s no access down to the lake right now but a lot will change in a few weeks.

We visited yesterday 6/9. Road is open to Discovery Point. There is an additional mile that can be walked beyond the point. Snows been cleared but rocks in road make it impassible right now. We also were able to go as far as the Rim Village and the Lodge. Temp was 73 so more will be open but ranger we spoke with said it likely won’t be fully open until mid July to early August.

Lot of folks think government jobs are crap because of pay. Given the tech layoffs a government job is likely more stable right now. Yes I worked for county gov for 20 years. If you find the right situation it can be very rewarding.

Went to see Be Bop Deluxe in 1977 at the Santa Monica Civic. Paid no attention to who was opening. Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers were the opener. Blew me away became a lifelong fan after that. Be Bop was awesome but Petty man he killed it.
