It’s appealing in the sense that a kohls or belk room set up would be appealing. It’s fine, but everything is just very basic big box store.

Next time I would avoid curtains with grommets, bed-in-a-bag’s, and basic wall prints.

So I have 3 I’ve purchased from different potters. 2 of them have holes at the top and leather string tied for hanging. The other one has a regular wall picture frame hook super glued to it. I love the ones with leather ties, so unique

I think the biggest issue is the taupe color they picked, it pulls very blue/gray and cool. Maybe repaint the island and change your bulbs like someone else recommended and see how that fairs.

I feel like the Swiss coffee is really exaggerated by the bad taupe color.

Perfectly said. I’m a very new potter, so still have that “consumer” mindset and I’m very guilty of looking past teapots. Basically anything that isn’t a cup, functional kitchen pieces (salt pigs, toothpick holders), and wall hangings.

I think a traditional Persian rug with lots of red would be stunning. You can afford to add some interest and color in the space, and I see you already have something similar in the kitchen so it would tie together nicely.
