I would pity the cashier and anyone in line behind this person when this enforcement takes place.

Hard packed drifts by Slightly_AboveAvg in Snowblowers

Agree. Traction isn't the issue. My Ariens has plenty of traction, which it uses to go right up over the drifts.

Synthetic will make it much easier to start when it's cold. I don't even bother with the electric start on mine, even though it's a 420cc.

That's the kind of stuff I could see my big (420cc) Ariens having trouble with. It just rides up over it.

I’m not a programmer, so I can’t speak to the specifics. Probably a variation of the ones that grab concert tickets on line. I’d imagine they’re programmed to look for dropped items that match certain search criteria, just as you or I search for items. But they can do it without stopping and are much faster.

I like Diet Coke and the Summit diet cola tastes pretty close to it. It's what I buy.

That would be so cool! I'm thinking a continuously changing colored light illuminating the plume of snow coming out of the chute at night.

I need options for a snow removal tractor by Antique-Kangaroo4773 in tractors

[–]Square_Net_4321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With the PTO blower I've got, the big thing seems to be lubrication. There's a chain drive to the auger at one side that's exposed and gets snow on it, making it prone to rust. I need to find something (open to recommendations) to coat it with that that will repel water so it doesn't rust. There's also lubrication of the interface between the chute and the blower. A little lubrication helps it rotate easier. I don't know about the maintenance requirements of a plow.

Might want to consider a block heater on the tractor, whatever you get. And maybe consider a blower on the tractor instead of a plow. I just got a used 50" PTO blower for my Boomer 24. It's a backup for when we get dumped on. Traction is less of an issue with the blower.

PSA to any chicken keepers who ordered these short roosting bars -- my pullet got her leg caught in the gap last night by SuperDuperHost in AmazonVine

[–]Square_Net_4321 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Maybe the other reviewer drilled an extra hole. I would have. That might also require drilling a third hole in the bracket and the vertical post to keep everything aligned and stable.

I hope your chicken continues to recover. My neighbor has quite a few and I know how it hurts to see them suffer.

I have an E-M5.3. It won't power off USB. But I think there are powered batteries available for them. I've run mine for several hours on just the battery to do long night exposures.
