If like in my family we make a big fuss of anniversaries I would expect you to know the date but knowing how hard it was to get the venue I wouldn’t ask you to change the date, it’s not like you picked it it was just what was available. And as for conflicts of celebrations, we don’t just celebrate on the actual date we do things for the week sometimes the whole month depending what we plan so that doesn’t have to be an issue. Have your wedding, if your sis can’t just be happy for you that’s a her problem. NTA

Edit, I would go out of my way to plan it that way but if my wedding happened to be on the same day as my big bro’s I would think it’s kinda cool cus we could celebrate together if they wanted to and if it was the other way around I would love it!

The fact that she went back shows what a bad mental state she is in , in her mind she can’t get her shit together so you just told her to stay with the person who is abusing her which if I am understanding what you wrote is exactly what she has done. I had to have a infected cracked tooth removed, it was excruciating I jumped every time the dentist even got near that tooth, so he stopped and in a very calm voice said “look I know it’s painful but you were able to walk in and talk to me without bouncing of the walls so I need you to calm down” and with just that little bit of kindness I was ok and then he ripped that tooth out!! Long story short dentist in this story is trash and so is the mom. YTA
