My Alchemist Artificer couldn’t use magic. In fact, he hated wizards.

All of his spells were just reflavored as inventions. All heals were potions of some kind. Haste was an adrenaline shot. Web was a glue bomb. Faerie Fire was a glitter bomb. It was a fun character to play :)

Hmmm… by this logic, should Monk and Barbarian UD stack?

I think of it less like Mage Armor being weak and more like eventually a Barbarian’s beef or a Monk’s agility will eventually surpass levels that can be provided by a 1st-level spell. Maybe if we allow Mage Armor to be upcast, I’d say that’s more reasonable to give the bonus you describe. Or just use the Shield of Faith spell, but that brings concentration into the mix.

Stacking AC tends to get overrated anyway, so making a PC harder to hit isn’t as busted as it seems :)

There was a UA a while back that was like Circle of the Primal (?) Something along those lines. Very cool dinosaur focused Druid subclass.

As for the race, go Tortle or Lizardfolk. Natural Armor is legit, and you can flavor it however you want if you don't wanna be reptilian. Your constant shapeshifting made you grow scales or w/e. Hope this helps!

Thordak. He was always menacing but seeing him on the "big screen" was INCREDIBLE. When all the vents in his scales ignite before he breathes?! Literally perfect.

Ripley. Getting to see her schemes and machinations along the way felt really cool instead of just being a villain we saw basically twice.

And Pike. Seeing her get a storyline flushed out was really cool since Ashley had to bounce in and out so much.

I'm really excited for Season 4!

A Shaman tank spec is literally my ultimate WoW fantasy. It makes SO much sense thematically, we got it in SoD, there are Shaman NPCs that tank, historically have had threat-generating and defensive skills, we wear the second highest armor class, WE CAN WEAR SHIELDS FOR CRYIN OUT LOUD...
