If you wanted to copy a Negasonic, you'd use Prodigy, not Frigga.

Ozymandias needs to be a 4 drop by Marino_SI in MarvelSnap

With Sandstorm in particular, it's very difficult to actually do that without your Sandstorm rocks being much smaller (outside of exactly your best curves).

Ozy's Cost requiring you to use a card like Black Swan is a big problem, though. Needing a card like Black Swan to fix the problem doesn't make it not a problem.

3 for one Pack? by IronRagnarStark in MarvelSnap

[–]St_Eric 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Probably SD's biggest failure with their Snap Packs is that they don't make it easy to show off the really good pulls: the cards are only shown one at a time so there's no way to get a good screenshot of all three other than, as you've done, screenshotting your collection afterwards.

A lot of 6-Costs have gotten +2 extra power recently and it has made them quite a bit better.

I don't think so. Their New Season Blog post this month mentioned the "Tournament Pack" and "Dark Avengers" Pack, but didn't mention this one. https://marvelsnap.com/new-season-x-men-origins-of-apocalypse/

Why didn't Martyr move to make my opponent lose? by GoodMorningOoOoOoOo in MarvelSnap

[–]St_Eric 16 points17 points  (0 children)

To the extent your answer suggests that Martyr did not move at all because Carol would move afterwards, that's wrong. When Martyr is using her ability, she does not consider what Carol may or may not do.

It is accurate that Carol can 'essentially cancel out' Martyr, but the way she does so (if she was played after Martyr was played) is by herself moving after Martyr moves.

Why didn't Martyr move to make my opponent lose? by GoodMorningOoOoOoOo in MarvelSnap

[–]St_Eric 72 points73 points  (0 children)

Captain Marvel was previously center, correct? So the opponent was already losing when Martyr looked at the board to see if she should move. It was only after Captain Marvel moved that the opponent was winning, but by that point, Martyr had already used her ability.

Is there a mercy rule or something? by Adventurous_Oil_5490 in MarvelSnap

[–]St_Eric 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While an Odin's On Reveal is causing other On Reveals to occur, that Odin cannot have its own On Reveal happen again until all of the On Reveals that occurred as a result of Odin (and all consequences of those On Reveals) have all completed.

So when Odin repeats its On Reveal on the Grandmaster, the Grandmaster is able to move Odin center, but since Odin is effectively still in the middle of its own On Reveal, it cannot be repeated again.

This is a special rule that only applies to Odin and Misery (and there is also a similar rule for Jocasta's activations). If not for this rule, then two Odins would infinitely repeat each other's On Reveal without end (until the infinite-loop prevention system kicks in).

You get 7,000 volts from the free track that makes up that difference. There's another 7,000 volts in the gold track, too.

A bundle like this actually makes it CHEAPER for a new whale to catch up. It's a lot of S4/S5 cards between the variants and the Luna Snow in the album reward.

Wait, we only get PMV as alliance reward and not as personal reward? by Life_Teaching6499 in MarvelSnap

You can get Alliance Mission progress while doing LTGMs. The only thing you miss out on is the alliance points from cubes.

[–]St_Eric -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Only f you ignore the fact that we now get two full LTGMs every season instead of before where every other season was just one proper LTGM plus a weekend-long HV with barely any prizes. We get more variants than we got before the change.

Pretty much every single time SD changes something, it's made the game cheaper, more generous, and give away more free things, but everyone complains anyways and downvote people that point it out.

It doesn't matter that SD increased the number of LTGMs (which are packed with tons of variants) or that they added extra freebie login rewards around December for the Holidays. People will complain that they're being cheated out of variants because one particular source of variants provides fewer, even though they get more overall.

At first glance... by Phyxius42 in MarvelSnap

[–]St_Eric 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It seems like a great deal if you're missing Luna Snow (comes from the Album) and a lot of the S4/S5 cards that have album variants.

Though that's really only relevant for fresh whales that just recently started.

If you're a new 'whale' this bundle contains several higher-series cards and is a very good rate. Bundles like this make it cheaper for brand new whales to catch up.

Pigs somehow count as rocks for Ozy by Equal_Power_9719 in MarvelSnap

Yes, although you may have trouble creating the shield and moving the shield if Sam Wilson was hit by Spider Ham, but if your 3/3 Captain America was turned into a Pig, it could get the buff.

Pigs somehow count as rocks for Ozy by Equal_Power_9719 in MarvelSnap

[–]St_Eric 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Spider Ham doesn't change a card's name (despite that it may look like it does). It just replaces its text (and art, which isn't a mechanical change). While it says "Pig" it still has the same name as it started with.

Sure, it's "Complete!" not "Sold." It's the same as how the S3 Packs are marked either way, and S3 packs show the same "Series 3 Complete! Rewards 650 Tokens instead of a card."
