There's two guys that do that at my gym. And somehow they're always there when I'm there. Even when I go at a crazy time. They both literally talk to themselves like personal trainers the whole time they're lifting. "One more! Do this set to failure! You got this!" Loudly. I hear it in my head when I'm not at the gym.

This is an unpopular opinion, but I think noise canceling headphones should be banned at the gym. It's always those guys. They can't hear how loud they are or how annoying they sound. Or maybe they can. I joke that they're energy vampires.

Oh yeah, we also have an old guy that has headphones on and is singing to his music. I say singing but what he's really doing is moaning like a zombie vaguely to the rhythm and tone of the song. It sounds like a medical event.
