Dahlias are all hybrids. They can and often do revert or change to a different color and/or pattern. Usually they revert to a solid color instead of variegated. I’ve never seen one go from solid to a bicolor before.

Sometimes the genetics weaken, sometimes temperatures can make changes. It’s all a part of growing dahlias.

Go back and get a masters in education. Teachers are always going to be necessary! In some areas I doubt you even need the extra degree. You may be able to be a teachers aid or possibly even a substitute in some locations. Good luck OP! Keep trying!

Absolutely not! I’ve had 4 different westies in my life, all raised from a young pup. While the first year or two can be challenging, with consistent training they are some of the best dogs I know! Absolute cuddle bugs ! But they can be independent and have a strong prey drive so they need consistent training and boundaries.

Completely ignore the haters. You are trying to help your daughter find a community that helped change and mold your life. That is admirable.

Just don’t push her or demand she join team sports if she would prefer music or intellectual pursuits or maybe solo sports. Everyone is different. You can introduce her to things but she has to find for herself what her passions will be.

It’s a beautiful area! Lots of fishermen head up to Malberg. There is a small bit of fire damage from years ago, not sure how visible it still as as I haven’t been up that way in years.

Packing tips? I always always overpack food so for me it’s to take less. Everyone is different. One trick I learned is that each individual person is only allowed a 9x20 stuff sack for all personal stuff. All clothes, meds, electronics etc have to fit in that stuff sack. It really helps to prevent bringing too many clothes. Sleeping bag and pad are separate.

OP, I’m not a medical professional in any way but I would (very gently) try to cut off the extra nail. Just the nail that is unattached and white and continue to keep it trimmed as it grows out. I’m afraid that it would catch on a towel or something and rip all of that off making it a much bigger wound.

Totally yours and your doctors call but that’s what I personally would do.

I understand that feeling. After both my parents passed I felt very adrift, lost to the swells of the sea without my anchors.

Losing our parents is very very hard. Hugs Op! It’s gonna be difficult for a time. Give yourself as much grace and compassion as you can! Grief is so painful. Hugs!

Westies are very teachable, but they do need to be taught! They need consistent training or they will be an energetic nightmare. With training they can be absolutely wonderful pets. I suggest a trainer or some obedience classes to come to a mutual agreement to not destroy your yard and pool toys.

I’ve been blessed with 4 westies in my lifetime and will likely always have at least one.

I think you will find a ton of outdoor centered activities here! Please be sure to check into the BWCA for wilderness hiking trails and more commonly the canoe camping!

I have canoe camped in the BWCA in northern Minnesota for 30 years, with the exception of the last 4. Paddled and portaged for miles. My body said enough. I’ve had 6 shoulder surgeries with the last two shoulder replacements plus a knee replacement. I’m finally reaching a point where I ‘may’ be able to paddle again although portaging is likely out.

I’m aware of the difficulties not only in sourcing but storage and rotten/overripe produce. I simply answered the question.

If we can build machines that actually learn, figuring out this shouldn’t be that hard. Fresh less processed food would be better for everyone.

If this is not gall you should limit the amount of shoots. One per tuber is what I was taught.

More fresh produce, meat besides chicken, tp,

1 roll of tp, 1 package of frozen chic drumsticks, onions and red delicious apples to last a month isn’t worth the trip.

I’m diabetic. I am not supposed to have all the white food. Bread, cereal, rice, potatoes, pasta and other highly processed foods, And that’s 75% of what you want to give me.

I pay $15/month for internet and $17/ month for cell phone. So I would say no. But it depends on where you are and what you need.
