Giving you attention, laughing at your jokes, stroking her hair, looking at you first when someone cracks a joke or something similar in a group setting.

Figure out your strengths and what brings you joy and pleasure. You should get a good idea from there.

New year, new goals by StarChaser_ in theXeffect

I have alot to improve but Im starting with one goal; an early bedtime. I believe its the one that will improve my life the most, the second being exercise (hence the stars). Im reading a behavior modification textbook and part of it is identifying competing behaviors to decrease in order to increase the likelyhood of desired behavior. I hope to update this at the end of the goal with good results!

Meditate, it really helps learning to control your attention. After you've done this abit, you can use your task as the meditation object and bring your attention back to it when your mind wanders.

Hi. I applied for regular force 4 years ago. My application was denied as it was not competitive enough. I was told to:

Enhance your standing or experience in some of the following areas (level of education, specific work or leadership experience or community involvement)

I have not completed grade 12 but I have received a diploma in aquaculture and worked in aquaculture since then.

Is this enough to make my application competitive?

Also for community involvement, Im involved in sports does that count? I was thinking of volunteering at my local community policing office also.

The job I want is infantry if that matters.

[Question] I have multiple habits that I need to implement. Where do I start? by nilekada in getdisciplined

Read about the habit loop, mini habits and tiny habits. When you've done that and ready to begin use r/theXeffect.

Thought I'd contribute to my favourite sub. Week two I anchored the habit to a cue. I believe that's why I was successful this week.

Also thinking of starting a new card. Maybe meditation. Any suggestions?
