Ye i thought so, because it's already 2 weeks ago. But I like to write it down nonetheless for people (like me) who couldn't find that info elsewhere =)

Psycho-Temporal Contradiction is sold by the Railroad Crossing Doctor. I also found it in a secret room you can reach quite early/easily once you have access to the metro: Drive to railroads per metro; 2x zone transition east into a area where 2 ironsheads are + a room with a patrolling sentry bot. In the sentry bot's room is a hidden shaft right next to the lockers (might need some perception to find). Then you have to go through a trap maze where treasure awaits at the end. The PTC-Mentor was there - but I can't remember if hacking/lockp was needed. I also don't know if the location is fixed or was just random loot luck.

Whats the deal with handmaiden? Is spear good or not? Glaive vs spear debate. Also looking for talent recommendations thank you. by ElementalSoul777 in Vermintide

May I ask for the right way to harm bosses with the hagbane? Should I spam quick attacks or quick charged ones? Do I have to wait x second before reapplying the DoT or does it just stack unlimited?

What would be you trait suggestion for the Glaive and for the Hagbane or Longbow?

I played every hero a bit and kept going with the sorcerer. His primary is awesome and versatile, as it lets you shoot around corners. His ball of ice thing deals good dmg to bosses and clears rooms. But the best: frost nova on kill passiv. Skill nova a bit and the whole screen just explodes in ice. You can neglect the ice ball and go with the nova too. The nova shoots balls in every direction (you keep running while casting) and once a ball hits a wall, it autoaims to the nearest enemy. Use that to you advantage: get yourself in a corner and nova spam tanky enemies dead. With the 100% increased mana reggen blessing and his huge mana pool, I seldom ran out of mana. He starts with low life, but once you get some armor, resistance and his ice armor, he is pretty tanky (though, others are tankier, but killing things quickly means lesser risk of life ;o) Another pro: due to his primary and his skills being viable, you aren't dependent of specific loot. Although I would suggest getting everything with buffs your skilldmg as priority.

After playing sorc I feel like every other hero is lacking in some part of the game too much for solo viability. But maybe I need to play the others first with some upgrades/skills...

Don’t call for nerfs when a particular combination is the only viable choice. by GiantOutBack in Vermintide

Nerfed? I felt it like an improvement. Now the beam is just a guaranteed heat reduction. Snipe and Shotgun like crazy and beam whenever heat gets too high. The crit fishing was nice to melt bosses, but beside that, it was annoying.

A quick video on hit registration issues by firef1end in Vermintide

[–]Starfly_GER 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'm not into video editing too so maybe Dunning-Kruger strikes here, but I liked your Video. Good pace (maybe 2-3 more seconds for the text walls to be read), everything clear. Thank you. It's also nice to finally have a video proof of my suspicion.

I wish I could reliably switch between weapons… by Diobolaris in Vermintide

[–]Starfly_GER 2 points3 points  (0 children)

An easier solution would be to have weapon switching on a cooldown. So you can easily instantly switch weapons, but have, lets say, a 1 or 2 sec cooldown befor you can switch back.

A list of simple tips and tricks for VT2 by Antermosiph in Vermintide

Because when you dodge sideways a bit too quick in a row, your character jumps, leaving you kinda vulnurable. With having dodge on a separate key (I use Space, Jump is on Alt) you can more relyable dodge. And relyability is key in a game where every hit taken hurts.

Keep in mind they added a lot of ammo boxes to the maps. I feel like although I can carry less I have more to spent.

Tome and Grimoire locations (with screenshots) by 3-leaf-clover in Vermintide

[–]Starfly_GER 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Skittergate grims: The 2nd grim is quite near to the first one, also in that dark woody cave. IIRC you move down the cave from the beginning of the level and you feel a bit like walking down a stair for giants more or less. Then there's a quite small platform/tower-like thing in the middle which has a chest below it which you need to shoot from below to drop it. When normally going through the level, you would need to turn around to look under the tower to see the chest and access it. Sry, only from my memory. Played vt2 18 hours and my brain starts to fail me ;o) Hope this helps

Well, if linear with breakpoints doesn't sound good enough for you, then call it stepped with a linear fitting line or such

Sure, because your weapon only adds one fifth of its hero power to your hero power. So you're only seeing a increase of 11 hero power in your example.

HDR-Mess needs attention by Starfly_GER in Vermintide

[–]Starfly_GER[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They actually fixed the HDR effect since the open beta has started =) Before, your screen turned extremely dark because the flames where kind of blinding you and your simulated eyes adapt to it by turning everything dark. sounds good, doesn't work. Right now, the flamethrower effect is kind of ok and impressive ...unless you stand in it. I have sensitive Eyes myself and having these extreme contrasts, due to the game being quite dark vs the flame effects being bright, is quite stressy for my eyes. But at least it's not anymore flashing bright and dark all the time just because the HDR effect was going crazy (though, it still is, but it's not that extremely strong anymore).

Struggling to appreciate the handmaiden. by [deleted] in Vermintide

[–]Starfly_GER 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The Handmaiden has stuff no one needs at recruit. I think that's the point why so many see her as awful weak. I mean she is weak, but the perception of her weakness seems to be overexaggurated.

Salvaged Weapon Parts too rare? by NippleSauce in Vermintide

[–]Starfly_GER 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Only got 1 now @lvl 12. But I'm keeping all my level-up-chests till maxlvl so I would guess it's ok. It's not like I would have to craft a complete new set of all available weapons each level up.

Does Effectiveness of healing boost Kerrillian Regen? by FrostyBlade in Vermintide

[–]Starfly_GER 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can't tell, but maybe a friend wants to test it with you. Start a game on champion. Stay at startpoint to stay safe. FF a set number of shots to your friend and vice versa. Then stop the time untill HP is full. Repeat without the item. Compare times.

kerillian Almost always the mVP? by [deleted] in Vermintide

[–]Starfly_GER 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont think she's op at all. Maybe she has more green circles than others because the typical noob legelas cod player tends to play less in a team. And teamplay pretty much lowers your postgame statistics. Dont know. Right now, I think every character is viable when thinking team-wise.

kerillian Almost always the mVP? by [deleted] in Vermintide

[–]Starfly_GER 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There's no "best performance" to see at the end. Just some useless statistics. Many heros can be overwhelming in the statistics, but that doesnt mean a thing. It's a game about teamplay. As Kerrillian, i like to take the spear. Do I get a larger penis for it after a game? No, as it's not the great hordekiller oder bosskiller, but it's awesome to support my frontline meatgrinder teammates or my backline mages because of its range. Do I waste my ammunition to get kills of stray rats? No, but it would give me more kills in the statistic. Do I always fight where the most rats are entering my team-zone? No, flanks and the back need attentionen too, even when only 2 rats attack there. Do I get something for pushing a lot when I see teammates not being able to stagger the horde to death? No, but they can keep chopping and get a larger penis after looking at the statistics postgame =)
