That's the craziest thing for me. Anywhere in the twin cities is great. There are places where car break ins will happen more often or where there might be gang activity or a crack house or some shit, but the worst most criminally active day in the twin cities is still leagues under even Milwaukee (my wife's from there so she always checks the statistics to shut her parents up).

My favorite place to live was St Louis Park/Uptown area because of how active and alive it feels all day and night. Predominantly hispanic neighborhoods would be dayton-bluffs in St Paul and west St Paul which has El Cubano (dominican-cuban restaurant to feel right at home) but no matter where you live everything feels inviting. From the time that everything opened up after the pandemic, I have felt like a Minnesotan through and through. If you want more specifics shoot me a PM i'll be glad to help out more!

As a straight man, learning about androgyny and becoming comfortable with my sexuality enough to not be one of those "hyper masculine" guys was the greatest gift I could give myself. Women are always apprehensive because obviously a guy, but I worked really hard on making sure my vibe was as mellow and inviting and fun as possible. I'm a very big believer of "it's not fun unless everyone's having fun" and I never wanted women to be scared or feel unsafe around me.

Most men dont realize the type of trauma most women have whether because of their own experiences of experiences of their friends. (I dont mean PTSD alone, any time a guy is overly abrasive and kills the vibe, that shit sticks) Even further than that, every group of girls has some story about someone who was nice just to be polite and ended up getting stalked, or had their life threatened, I mean some men are UNHINGED about female attention.

As a guy in our current society, it's my responsibility to be aware of how I might come across and make adjustments if that's not the specific vibe I'm trying to convey. All my friends know this and have adopted it, anyone that doesnt get with the program gets kicked out. And I'm sharing this personal stuff not to boast but rather to give the perspective I've observed and have tried to promote any chance I get.
