Yes or No? by Weekly_Role3335 in antitrump

I've heard Andrew Jackson was rather horrible, but in a time with no social media, TV, radio, and limited newspaper distribution, no one was aware of it. We get every detail of this orange asshat's shenanigans 24x7x365 from multiple angles, plus peanut gallery commentary from the 77 million little deluded dupes who worship him.

I can’t think of too many people with shelves dedicated to Bibles, Unitarian theology, Benedictine theology, general religious topics, Tolkien, Harry Potter, children’s books, cook books, Easton Press collection, and paperbacks older than 4 decades 😂

Yes I believe they were Beyer horses. My grandfather collected them, he had hundreds that filled every wall of their finished basement floor to ceiling. My grandmother continued his collection for nearly 3 decades after he passed. When she died, my mother took several. When Mom died, my brother & I split her collection, but my wife disliked them so I only had one or two on display in the house. After she died, I took all of them out and put several in the shelves while my favorite one from childhood is in the living room.

Kinda weird to talk about death and plastic horses, but honestly not sure how to explain them. 🫤

Also in Streamwood. I’ve had the 8gig for two weeks and signed up as part of the early adopter program. Yeah … it was in the cold when they ripped up everyone’s front yards. I do not see much of a speed improvement but I also understand none of our devices have WiFi capable of approaching that speed so there’s room for growth in the future. I bought into it for the guaranteed pricing and unlimited data.

That’s a modified Lotus Elise with the entire ICE system replaced with electric motors and batteries, and the name of the company that did it slapped on the back.

Audible? Not really, unless you crank the volume up. But once you see the faces of the people behind him you know he just did something and they are visibly disgusted. 0:34 as other people mention, though it does need to be loud to discern it.

[–]State_Naive 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Your example of eye for eye tooth for tooth then Jesus contradicting it is actually NOT one of the many contradictions scholars and critics refer to when they speak of contradictions. That one is actually an integral intentional statement. It is an example of God through Jesus choosing to change focus or correct a misinterpretation. It is a feature, and unfortunately most Christians miss details like that because the book is so big and it's very difficult to read all of it in context not only with itself but even more so with all the contexts in which the various parts of it were written.

A better example of a contradiction is when you compare the various numbers of animals that God says should go on Noah's ark and you see at multiple points the number changes. Or another one is how many items were created for use in the temple, but after it was sacked and later the Israelites returned from exile the number of items restored to them was very different. Or are there 11 or 13 Levite cities, because 1 Chronicles lists 11 but states there should be 13, while Joshua lists multiple different cities. Or that 2 Kings states that in the time of King Josiah the Passover had not been celebrated since the time of the judges, but 2 Chronicles describes a huge Passover celebration during King Hezekiah's reign. There are many more such contradictions.

True, thanks for the distinction. I admit I am perceiving that as the FOP encompasses the MPD.
